Electronic anthology continues to push
the Pushcart envelope with latest nominations

BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, WA -- Tamara Kaye Sellman, editor of Margin: Exploring Modern Magical Realism, has announced her staff's nominations for this year's prestigious Pushcart Prize:
"Of Moths and Oil," an original poem by Kelli Russell Agodon, Kingston, WA (published June 2002)"We had a tough time this year," says Sellman. "There were so many good manuscripts to pick from, including both fiction and poetry areas. "That Day," an original prose poem by Michael Hettich, Miami Shores, FL (published April 2002)
"The Blood Cake Vendor," a short story by J.L. Navarro, San Diego, CA (reprinted June 2002; originally published in Shadowkeep, Cafe Irreal and BIGnews)
"Blue Plate Special," an original short story by Ozzie Nogg, Omaha, NE (published March 2002)
"Cartoon Thought Balloons," an original poem by David Thornbrugh, Seattle, WA (published April 2002)
The Pushcart is one of the largest literary awards available, distinguishing short stories, poems and essays published by America's small presses and magazines. Publishers Weekly named the Pushcart among the "most influential in the development of the American book business over the past century and a quarter."
