Stefan Dennis is undoubtedly best known for his long running role as Paul
Robinson on the hugely successful, international Australian soap,
Neighbours. Born 30 October 1958, in Tawonga, Victoria, Australia Stefan began his acting career at the ripe old age of eleven. And while Stefan continued his theatrical training, it was thanks to his father's encouragement, a man who believed it "wise to have a trade to fall back on", that Stefan also trained and qualified as a professional chef. Stefan moved on to Melbourne where he began his professional acting career debuting in a small role in the television war-time drama, The Sullivans. This was followed by featured and starring roles in such popular Australian television shows as Copshop. Young Doctors, The Flying Doctors and the international cult hit, Prisoner Cellblock H. as Peter Richards He then starred for seven and one-half years in Neighbours. His popular character of Paul Robinson introduced Stefan to UK television audiences as well as offers of work in London where he's since made numerous television appearances including a starring role in the comedy series pilot, The Office. Currently he is starring in Sky's Dream Team. In addition to Fool For Love, Stefan's theatre credits include the starring role of Mickey in the New Zealand and Australian touring production of Willy Russell 's Blood Brothers. It was during the tour of Blood Brothers that Stefan first worked with David Soul. Stefan went on to reprise the role of Mickey in the West End and has performed in leading roles in U.K. stage productions of Whose Life Is It Anyway, Point Of Death and Murder By Misadventure. In real life, Stefan — who returned to Neighbours back end of 2004 to reprise the popular role of Paul — is a devoted husband and father of two young boys. Stefan and his wife, Gail, celebrated parenthood for the second time in August 2004 with the birth of baby Declan . The couple's first son, Cameron, turns four in January 2005. |
