We Must Learn
Raayn, Guardian of Peace and Serenity
Why must we see the things we see?
Why must we know the things we know?
How do we learn the way we do?
How exactly do we grow?
Every question ever asked
Isn't always solved,
For the way we'll feel in days to come
Will not be the same as when we evolved.
We delight in answering the affairs of others,
Yet turn away in disgust when we face our own;
And although we stand in a crowded room,
Sometimes we must stand alone.
The future is a mystery,
And we've already seen the past;
But what's happening around us right now?
Will we ever last?
We can all learn a lesson from the sun in the day,
And at night at as we gaze at the moon,
So hold on to that gaze, and never let go,
Because it all might be over soon.
