Unicorn Essay Essay

A 5 paragraph essay on stereotypes of Unicorns:

I have compiled a few pieces of information about what being a Unicorn is really like, rather than how stereotypes of Unicorns may come across to others. As people tend to think, Unicorns are either always happy and carefree, or vicious creatures with no purpose other than to hurt. These are common stereotypes people tend to make. Being a Unicorn tosses your emotions around greatly. I long to go back to my land, where I feel as though I belong. This causes sudden spurts of sadness and involves being sick of humans, since I am being forced into being one for the time. I have nothing against humans. I, like all other kin, get sick of being one at times. Being a Unicorn also has good sides. Empathy is a lovely thing to posess. Being able to tell how people feel by just a look at them is a true gift. A lot of creatures hold empathy, not only Unicorns. But being able to understand how people feel just by hearing their stories is a wonderful ability. For example, personally I've noticed that people tend to talk to me about things. They feel comfortable doing this and they know that I will understand. Thus, the use of empathy. People, especially human people, tend to think one of two things about Unicorns. The "happy-go-lucky" stereotype is the more standard and general one seen. People tend to think that Unicorns are always happy and carefree without a care in the world. Not only are there spiritual problems to deal with a lot of the time, but human problems, too. Bringing Unicorns down, I've noticed, is not being around their own kind. Another thing that may bring about bothers. The second stereotype is the "vicious creature out to do harm" theory that tends to hold less popularity amoung people. Some people actually think that all Unicorns are evil creatures. Some Unicorns are, in fact, evil; but stereotyping all of them as evil "I'm gonna stab you in the butt with my horn because I have it" types is not very nice. Sure there are quite a few Unicorns like that, but not all of them are like that. Are all humans ignorant? No, thus stating that all Unicorns are not evil. Being a Unicorn is a part of who I am, personally. If I were not a Unicorn, what and who would I be? My thoughts would be totally different and I would probably not be as curious as I am about everything going on around me. Unicorns tend to appreciate nature and on another personal note, can see things that others cannot. For example, I can see creatures of other dimensions of some sort. (I am actually not quite sure what they are and where they are from, but they are not human and are very solitary.) Another stereotype people have of Unicorns, they are very shy. This is true, as it applies to most, only sometimes. There are some days when one just wants to be left alone, or feels shy around others. Just like any other person/creature, Unicorns can be shy, outgoing, you name it, depending on their personality. Just like any other living thing, Unicorns have their own personalities.
