Tommy in his Natural Habitat!!!

Well, we finally released our conical friend, onto No. 1 Roundabout in Consett! He seemed quite content with his can of beer, packet of cigarettes, green spikey hair, and the coolest shades mankind (or conekind!) have ever seen!!!
Unfortunatly Tommy seemed to be a bit shy, and so it was decided to release him back into the wild in the middle of the night!
It was only 11 o'clock, and barely dark, on a warm Monday evening that Tommy decided to leave our aquaintence. We equiped him with the aforementioned equipment, (Very necessary to survive in Consett, except perhaps the packet of cigarettes) and we were ready to say goodbye. We knew that if Tommy liked his new environment, we would be able to visit him as we pleased, as the Roundabout that he had chosen as his home was just around the corner from my house!

Tommy decided he would like one last visit to his previous habitat, where he was forced to work with a very roudy crowd of traffic barriers, and several other friendly cones he wished to say his farewells to. We drove him back to this place, were we saw the conditions he had previously been forced to work under, and as he said goodbye to his friends, tears were brought to our eyes.
We apologised to his friends that we could not offer them the same oppertunities, but they were very understanding, and did not begrudge Tommy of his fortunes. They told us their dreams of a long road to Traffic Cone Heaven, were they all stand erect, and move proudly towards the asphalt playground, were all their friends from their past labuors will be waiting for them. These Traffic Cones were all sad to say farewell to our Tommy, but looked forward to seeing him again in this paradise, and catching up on his escapades of freedom!

We then took Tommy back to the roundabout selected to be his new home, and made him comfortable in a spot with a good view, so that he could observe the day to day movements of human-kind and pass each day with the new experiences living in the middle of a busy roundabout can provide for your not-so-average Traffic Cone!!!
We still see Tommy every so often, and I always wave to him as I go past in the car. He has made a lot of new friends, including some little children who say "HI!" to him on their way to school every day! I hope he will enjoy his time in his new home, and will be able to stay with us for a long long time!!!

Since writing this, I have now become a member of The Traffic Cone Preservation Society of which I highly recomend if YOU, like I do, feel the overwhelming urge to help Traffic Cones in need, where-ever they are forced to parade for mankind, and to do this, feel free to link to their site below.
