I am proud to say that I've been accepted for the 'Golden Web Awards 2002-2003' the very first award that I have entered my web-site in, and it has been awarded first time!
*Beams with pride*
There's not really much other news this week - I'm slaving away like god knows what at the College at the minute - I've been working overtime and any other hours that the Goddess sends - (I've not had a second to update my page this week, and it's Thursday now!) And I'm not going to have much time online over the next few weeks too! *sob*
The house is gradually getting done, the double glazing is finished and there are just a couple of bits and pieces left in the kitchen left to do. Problem is with the kitchen being small, I'm not sure if they can tile down the side of the cooker!
A Big Thanks to Catherine for helping me at the weekend to get that done. We're also nearly ready to paint the rest of the back bedroom so hopefully this weekend we'll be able to start papering.
Well - I've nearly been on the diet for two weeks (don't forget it's Thurs as I'm writing this) and people have started to comment that I've lost weight - it's hard to believe and I didn't think that it'd be possible, but I seem to really have lost a couple of pounds. I'm on a variation of the Slim-Fast diet and the Weight-Watchers plan trating myself to chips only once a week and cutting down on alcohol as much as possible! I still don't dare go near the scales though!!!
Also, while I was away over the Xmas holidays, I have been accepted into the Women of Strength and Inner Beauty group, which is made up of women who do not discriminate anyone for anything beyond their control, including age, race, sexual preference, and religion. I still have many aspects of the group to explore, but am proud to display my personalised banner...
I feel a bit guilty as I have been so warmly welcomed into the group and I really want to get involved, but I don't feel that I can really commit myself to them as much as they deserve until I have more time to dedicate to the group. Hopefully once I'm in my new house and am online at home, then I'll be able to become a person worthy of being a member of WOSIB!
