The house is gradually getting done, they should have started the double glazing today and they are fitting the kitchen tomorrow. *fingers crossed*. Everything seems to be against me getting moved in before the end of January though. I got the bathroom bits and pieces painted and there is only the window to be fitted and the wallpaper to fit now (then steam clean the whole place!) and that'll be my first room completed.
A Big Thanks to Catherine for helping me at the weekend to get that done. We're also nearly ready to paint the rest of the back bedroom so hopefully next weekend we'll be able to start papering.
Catherine has also promised to help me on a healthy eating plan, even though I didn't eat or drink much over Christmas I still seemed to have put on weight. I walked into work at the pub the Friday after New Year and about 4 people asked me if I was pregnant because I'd put on so much! (I'm not by the way!) I was devistated and I've even had to buy new trousers for work because the others were starting to cut through my tummy and split their side seams. *sigh* It'll be a long haul, but I'm sure I'll get there with help.
I was at Elsie's funeral on Saturday and it was really nicely done. I even managed to hold back the tears... Until I saw Barbara at the end and she gave me a big hug for coming.
While I was away over the Xmas holidays, I have been accepted into the Women of Strength and Inner Beauty group, which is made up of women who do not discriminate anyone for anything beyond their control, including age, race, sexual preference, and religion. I still have many aspects of the group to explore, but am proud to display my personalised banner...
