Geoff Clark
Joined the Club (Kingston Movie Makers) in 1965, member of the committee (when there was one!)
fairly continuously. Done something in all the Club productions - generally technical.
The technical aspects were more challenging when we used film. First cine camera in 1963,
first video camera in 1981. I concentrate on family event movies outside the Club and
have made one or two animated films.
Have also run a few amateur public film shows in the Kingston area.
I am a chartered electrical engineer by profession. I started work in a radio and TV repair
shop in the late 50's but soon moved into an electrical research laboratory which included
high speed photography techniques and gave me the opportunity to study for a degree.
In 1969 I joined BT as an engineering manager at their London headquarters.
Shortly after early retirement (1992) I taught video movie making at evening classes.
I still do some freelance electronic work.
