Spirit and I spent our first week together taking in the Great Dane Nationals in KC Missouri. She is 12 weeks in this photo, look at that pose, she knows how to show already. I co-own her with Karen Martin of Diamond Danes. She is out of Ch Trike's Why You Little... and Ch Equus Diamonds in the Sky. She was whelped on July 19, 2000

Spirit enter the show world on Feb. 22, 2001 in Chicago. She was a terrified baby the first two days and a confident girl having fun by the 4th day. It was a wonderful experience for both of us.
OUR FIRST POINT!!!Spirit got her first point from the 6-9 month puppy class on April 8th, 2001 at the Apple Valley MN show, thank you M. Ann Schwartz. I am so proud of her, she showed her little heart out, stacking herself and letting everyone know how beautiful she is.
Spirit got her second point on July 8 at Hutchinson Mn.in the 9-12mo class. Thank you to Judge WR Falk.
Point number three came at the Anoka Mn show under judge Larry F Mackai. Thank You !
As you can see Spirit and I both have fun in the ring. Here we are at Waukesha, both enjoying ourselves.
SPIRIT WENT TO THE NATIONALS, 2001
Spirit took 2nd in her class in the futurity, shown by her breeder and co owner, Karen Martin. I am so proud of Spirit! We both had a wonderful time, good food, interesting people and of course hundreds of beautiful Danes.
This was my first time showing in freezing temps. Everyone including the judge was frozen and anxious to get in out of the wind. My little Spirit isn't a puppy anymore, she is coming into her own.
Spirit and I went to the Waukesha shows again this year, 2002. Her breeder and co owner showed her for me. We both agreed that Spirit truly hated showing. She was very nervous and wanted to be anyplace but at a show. So with a heavy heart and more than a few tears I had Spirit spayed. She is now a couch potato and very happy. She will always be my soul mate, we have a special bond. **********************************************************
