Golly Variations 1996.

The 1996 range is no longer available from Robertson's. It was a pretty stable range with only a few variations coming to light. As well as the the fronts being different there are two different backstamps. One contains the Copyright symbol with 'J. Robertson's' and the other doesn't. The one without the Copyright symbol ( C in a circle ) is the earlier range.

The 1996 Viking is found with two different centre portions to his shield. The left hand one has a metallic centre which simply has no acrylic paint in it. The right hand one has a grey centre. 

The 1996 Paperboy is found with both a black and grey newspaper. His hand is always black but the three sections of newspaper are either all grey or all black.

This variation seems to be the rarest one in the 1996 range.

The 1996 Eskimo comes with three different coloured spear tips. Brown, Black and Grey. The 'correct' colour is grey 

Robertson's did admit that they had brooches with these coloured spear tips but could never guarantee what colour would be sent out. They didn't take much looking for and seem to be quite common in all 3 colours.
