Cemetery, Mount Calvary, in Salina, Kansas) m Patrick Purcell (b May 10. 1829 in Kilkenny
County, Ireland d November 5, 1891 in Marydel, Pleasant Valley Township, Saline County,
Kansas - buried in the Catholic Cemetery, Mount Calvary, in Salina, Kansas) on December
22, 1853 at the Old Stone Church near Straitsville, in Perry County, Ohio.Patrick Purcell
Patrick Purcell was the seventh son of the Purcell family. Patrick attended
school until 1850, when he was 21 years of age. Soon after his 21st birthday, Patrick and
some of his brothers immigrated to the US.
Ellen
Marie "Ella" Purcell (b March 30, 1872
Straitsville, Perry County, Ohio d April 12, 1944 - buried in Mount Calvery Cemetery in
Salina, Kansas). Never Married. Was killed by an automobile while crossing one of the
streets in Salina, Kansas.

buried in the Catholic Cemetery, Mount Calvary, in Salina, Kansas) she m Henry O'Shea (b
February 3, 1849 Toronto, Canada d February 11, 1907 in Salina, Kansas). Julia and Henry
O'Shea had seven children, Ellen Eulalia O'Shea, Mary Elizabeth O'Shea, Thomas Peter
O'Shea, Agnes Cecelia O'Shea, Joseph Francis O'Shea, Josephine Ann O'Shea and James George

Thomas Edward Purcell (b September 27, 1859 in Straitsville, Ohio d February 7, 1908 in Yreka,
California) m Bessie Hamilton on March 3, 1849 in Lansing, Kansas. They had one daughter,
Callie Purcell. It is believed that Thomas Edward Purcell burned to death in an explosion at a restaurant.
