So, where did I get that Lion's Child name?

Sometimes Jesus Christ is referred to as the Lion of Judah, and I'm His daughter. That makes me the Lion's child. So the question is, are you the Lion's child? If you're not sure, read on. By asking yourself this question you can find out if you are.

"If you died today, do you know for sure you would go to heaven?"

If your answer was yes, great! If your answer was no, or you're not sure, I'll tell you how to turn it into a yes!

Maybe you thought you weren't good enough to make heaven, but goodness has nothing to do with it. Heaven is a free gift and cannot be earned. (Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-9)

A person could never earn heaven, because we are all sinners and cannot save ourselves. To enter heaven one has to be perfect like God Himself. (Matthew 5:48, Proverbs 14:12)

It would seem God has a problem, because He loves us and doesn't want to punish us for our sins, but He is just and must punish us. (John 4:8, Exodus 34:7)

God solved His problem by sending Jesus, who is both God and man, to die on the cross and take the punishment for our sins, rise from the dead, and to purchase with His blood a place for us in heaven. He offers this place as a free gift. (John 1:1,14)

To receive this gift you need to have faith in Jesus. Faith isn't just believing God exists or trusting Him to help you with a test or take away your cold. True faith is trusting in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life. (Acts 16:31)

When we put our trust in Jesus, we are so grateful for what He did for us on the cross that we want to live our lives the way He asks us to. We do it to please Him, not to gain heaven.

If you want to recieve the free gift of eternal life and become the Lion's child, say to God right now,

"Lord, I know I am a sinner. Please forgive my sins and help me to live my life for you. I am placing all my trust in Jesus and what He did for me on the cross. Thank you Lord. Amen"

If you just meant what you said, you're the Lion's child! Now there are a few things you need to do:

Read the Bible every day (begin with the Gospel of John)
Pray every day (God wants to hear from you!)
Start attending a Bible-believing church
Tell others how to become the Lion's child!
