Joe Olson

Joe Olson was born on June 5, 1981 in Superior, WI.He has had a long and hard road in his racing career. At the age of 15 Joe was ran over by a water truck serverly breaking one of his legs and shoulder. That laid him up for 8 months from his racing career. With all that behind him he came back strong as ever! He went out that next year with something to prove to himself, that nothing can keep him from enjoying his life long dream of racing. That year Joe, his brother Jeramie, and a team of 5 supportive relatives, went back down to Eau Claire, WI to run with the BIG BOYS!! Joe was racing against John Menard (owner of *Menards* hardware stores)and had beat him a number of times. Do to the fact of some mechanical problems and health problems Joe finished 4th in points his first year back in racing. In 1998 Joe and his brother decided to give up kart racing to run a Wissota Street Stock. He had a good first year. Joe didn't win any races but finished Second to some of the top running drivers. Joe took the 1999 season off to get his life in order. Now having a good job and a supportive family Joe is building a brand new racecar! He believes that he and his teammate (his brother) are going to have a successful year in 2000. Like he says "If you set your mind to it and have the willpower, YOU CAN DO IT!!"
