Olson Racing History

Olson Racing was formed in 1970 when Jerry Olson (at that time 18 yrs old) built his very first street stock. He built it at WITC what was know then as WITI in Superior, WI. With support from his wife Joan (part owner) & the addition of his three son's Jamie, Jeramie, and Joe the team has grown. Of course Jerry is retired from racing (you may catch him out there once & while) cars, he is still the head mechanic & crew chief for the #29 and #99 cars. Jamie has not raced in the last couple of years, but is a mechanic and crew cheif for #29 and #99. Joan is very supportive of the team. She has seen and gone through a lot. And for that I would like to thank her. Thanks Mom.

Jeramie and Joe Olson started their careers racing karts back in 1994 in Eau Claire, WI. The facility where the raced was owned by John Menard. Joe had the pleasure of racing with John. He also got to run one of the Team Menards karts. From their they moved on into Wissota Street Stocks in 1998. Their they shared a street stock together. In 1999 Joe took the season off and Jeramie continued to race. In the 2000 Racing Season Olson Racing will have two new Street Stocks. The year 2000 looks promissing.
