Gathering Information
Gathering your information will be no easy task. You will not want to just slap this together so I suggest getting as much information as you can together before you submit anything into your final book. You may want to start a draft book. This is where your three ring binder may come in handy. Get your information organized. Where you want to put everything. Is the spelling correct? Are the attributes correct? Compose your out line. What sections will be where? Pictures, poems etc. Get rid of the stuff that you know doesn't work for you. It will only cause clutter and confusion. As far as all your spells and rituals, I would consider trying them out a few times first. Keep records of how things worked out. Did the spell work for you? If not, adjust it or pitch it. If they work like a charm, then Great! Start drafting out how you want it to look in your book. Add your personal touch to it and submit it to your book, Index it and move on to the next project. This BOS will be an ongoing project for the rest of your life, so don't ever think it is going to be "done". But if you do end up running out of room, then you will have to consider making a "part two". Wouldn't that be nice?
Your main spell book should contain the ideas you need almost daily, not a lot of extra stuff that will just fill up much needed pages. Having an alternative place to put all the extra stuff would probably be a good idea, because when you put all that time and energy into putting together your beautifully crafted spell book, you don't want to be ripping and blotting sections out. If you want, you could put another index page at the end of your BOS to tell you where you put that "extra" stuff.
