Bio of Danny Lewis
Dany Lewis was born in June 21, 1970 in Kalamazoo, MI(USA)
his childhood was very hard, in age 12 his father left, and he was working since age of 13, his brother was a basketball player and Danny, used to folow him everywhere, and to the court ofcourse.
he played with his brother and his friends that were two years older then him, and just learned from them how to play and how to be tough.
His Mother, took him to the High School "Kalamazoo Center" and from there to the Wayne State College in Detroit.
he played in Divison 2, and choosen as a MVP in his Divison and was known as a taugh and strong guard.
he avarged 18 ppg and almost 5 rpg.
in 1993,Detroit Pistons, Phoinx Suns, Philadlphia 76ers,All were intersted in him, and offerd him playing in the NBA, but they told him he have to wait.
the NBA season starts late, and his agent told him about a nice place in Mexico,Hermosillo, Mexico, 4 hours from Arizona.
today he still sorry for not waiting, and losing the NBA dream.
In Hermosillo Suns, Mexico he averged more then 50 ppg (!!!!!!) 5 rpg and 5 apg.
after playing in Mexico, he went playing in London Towers, he became a superstar in london and his statics was amazing:
for example:1994-1995: London Towers (ENG): 20.3ppg, 5.1rpg, 4.3apg
after all that, came David Blatt (Maccabi Tel - Aviv).
in before season tournement, Danny came playing with his Lodnon Towers, and let David Blatt see how he tricks and scroing infonrt of McDonald and Shefer,
then, David was very intersted in Danny, but Shefer,
quited and they needed a player in other positon.
Then came the offer from Ramat Gan (thanks god!!!!).
i'm a big fan of Ramat Gan, and espicaly Danny Lewis fan, i was so happy to hear his coming.
in israel he kept his superstar skills and showed everyone even Maccabi sorry for not taking him.
Danny is the Nephew of Reggie Lewis who played in Boston Celtics, and died of heart problems.
