WWF King of The Ring-- 6/25/00

* The 2000 King Of The Ring opened with clips of what has led up to this spectacular event.

Match #1: Rikishi vs. Chris Benoit, KOTR Tournament Match

Both men exchanged blows to open the match. Benoit went to the outside to regroup, but he was thrown into the steps by Rikishi. When the two men returned to the ring, Benoit executed a German suplex for a 2-count. Benoit put Rikishi in a standing Crippler Crossface. Benoit then put him in the actual Crippler Crossface, but Rikishi reached the ropes.

Benoit was upset that Rikish grabbed the ropes, so he brought a chair in the ring and hit Rikishi with it, causing a disqualification. After the DQ, Benoit beat on Rikishi with the chair, put him in the Crossface again, and gave him the Diving Head Butt.

Winner: Rikishi.

Match #2 Eddie Guerrero vs. Val Venis: KOTR Tournament Match

Eddie and Val locked up in the middle of the ring and Val shrugged Eddie off. Val began stomping Eddie with boots in the corner. Eddie sent Val into the corner hard and dropkicked him in the face. The two men then exchanged chops and punches, and they both fell to the outside where they chopped each other some more.

Val picked Eddie up and dropped him on the guard rail. They got back in the ring and Eddie superplexed Val for a 2-count. Eddie took Val down hard with a drop toe hold and then put him in a surf board. Eddie dropkicked Val in the spine and gave him a backslide for a count of two. Val came back and slammed Eddie face first to the mat. Val took Eddie down with a back elbow, and then put him in a back breaker across his knee.

Eddie suplexed Val, went for the Frog Splash, missed, and took a spinebuster from Val. Val went for the Money Shot, but Eddie got the knees up. Val put Eddie down for another 2-count after a Russian leg sweep. Eddie made a comeback with a series of head butts and punches. Eddie gave Val a Frankensteiner from the top as Trish Stratus got on the ring apron and tried to distract the referee. Chyna took Trish down, Val went after Chyna, Chyna hit him, and Eddie put Val down for a 2-count. Val eventually put Eddie in a fisherman's suplex for the win.

Winner: Val Venis.

Match #3 Crash Holly vs. Bull Buchanan: KOTR Tournament Match

Pat Patterson was shown looking for the appropriate evening gown for the night.

Rikishi was interviewed and said that he would be ready to wrestle later on.

Buchanan slammed Crash down hard and then clotheslined him. He followed the clothesline up with a back breaker. Buchanan then suplexed Holly and covered him for a count of two. Buchanan took Crash to the outside and slammed him into the guard rail. Buchanan then put Crash face first into the turnbuckle and nailed him with right hands and a big boot.

Crash came back from the onslaught with a slam package for a 2-count. Bull missed his scissor kick and Crash put him in a half Nelson for the win.

Winner: Crash Holly.

Match #4 Kurt Angle vs. Chris Jericho: KOTR Tournament Match

Vince McMahon confronted Linda. Linda asked Vince if he would need the odds to be 12 on 3 to win tonight, like he did on SmackDown. Vince said there would be no interference, and Vinch, Shane, and Triple H would win.

Kurt Angle got on the mic and insulted those who live in Boston, as well as Boston sports teams. Angle said he would become the King Of The Ring tonight.

Jericho called Angle the king of 30 year-old virgins, and a royal pain in the ass.

The match was fairly even at the beginning, until Jericho hit the Lionsault. Angle put his foot on the bottom rope at the count of two. Jericho dropkicked Angle to the floor. Angle took several chops from Jericho. Angle hip tossed Jericho over the barricade and into the crowd. Angle had control of the match until Jericho gave him a back breaker and another chop.

Angle took Jericho down with a clothesline and put his foot in Jericho's throat in the corner. Angle gave Jericho a German suplexed, which Jericho kicked out of. Angle was on the middle rope, when Jericho dropkicked him in the gut and gave him a Frankensteiner. Jericho took Angle down with a reverse elbow and continued to chop him

Jericho executed a spinning heel kick and went for his bulldog, but Angle nailed him with a clothesline. Angle went for the Olympic Slam, but Jericho countered it and tried to put him in the Walls of Jericho. Angle tapped out, but the referee was distracted by Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley. Angle hit Jericho, who fell into the referee, casuing the ref to go down. Steph tried hit Jericho with the Women's Title, but she missed and hit Angle. Jericho then kissed Stephanie and Angle gave Jericho the Olympic Slam for the win.

Winner: Kurt Angle.

Shane McMahon argued with Vince about Vince not keeping his cool. Vince told Shane to keep his confidence, Shane said he's worried about Triple H's confidence.

Jim Ross talked to the newly bald Mick Foley at WWF New York. They talked about the King Of The Ring match two years ago, in which The Undertaker defeated Foley in a Hell In A Cell match.

Match #5: Edge/Christian vs. T&A vs. The Hardy Boyz vs. Too Cool

Edge and Christian made fun of Bill Bucknor's error in the 1986 World Series.

Jeff Hardy opened the match up with Albert. Albert picked up Jeff and gorilla press slammed him. Jeff ran to the outside, Albert followed, and Jeff got back in and tagged Matt. Albert knocked down Matt and tagged Test. T&A picked up Matt and dropped him face first to the mat. Test went for a pump handle, but Matt countered. He went for the Twist of Fate, but Trish distracted him. Matt took a shot at Trish, then Lita took Trish down. T&A went after Lita. Jeff hit the Swan Ton Bomb on Test and Matt pinned him to eliminate T&A.

Matt Hardy was in the ring with Christian, when Matt nailed Christian with a right hand and leg drop off the second rope. Matt tagged Jeff. Jeff kicked Christian in the face. Edge came in and got taken down by The Hardy Boyz. Edge and Jeff took each other down with clotheslines. Lita took Edge down with a head scissors takeover

Moments later, Matt gave Christian the Twist of Fate, but Edge pulled him out of the ring. Jeff went for the Swan Ton Bomb, but Edge pulled him off the top rope and dropped his throat across it. Christian executed his finishing move (The Impaler?) on Matt, and then pinned him to eliminate The Hardy Boyz

Too Cool double-clotheslined Christian. Christian took Scotty down with a Russian leg sweep soon after. Edge and Christian then splashed Scotty. Scotty gave Christian an elbow and then a clothesline. Scotty tagged Grandmaster Sexay and Christian tagged Edge.

Grandmaster sent Edge into the corner and sent Christian into him. Edge's head feel into Christian's testicles, and Grandmaster powerbombed Edge. Edge and Christian went for a double Worm on Grandmaster, but Scotty came in and took both of them down and gave Edge The Worm. Grandmaster nailed Edge with a leg drop, but Christian hit Grandmaster with a tag belt while the referee had his back turned.

Winners: Edge and Christian. (New Tag Team Champions)

Match #6: Rikishi vs. Val Venis, KOTR Tournament Match

Crash Holly was interviewed and said that Kurt Angle was in big trouble.

Rikishi took Val down early with right hands and then a superkick. Rikishi and Val went to the outside and Rikishi sent Val into the steel steps a couple times. Rikishi sent Val back in the ring and dropped a big leg on him. Rikishi then drop his ass into Val, but Val came back with an arm bar take down and several right hands as well.

The two men exchanged right hands in the middle of the ring, and then Val took Rikishi down with a DDT. Val tried to come off the top with a move, but Rikishi caught him and crushed him with a belly-to-belly suplex for the win. Trish Stratus jumped on Rikishi's back, but Rikishi threw him off and brought her to the corner to drop his ass on her. Val stopped him with a nut shot and then pulled him off the ropes. Val hit him with the steps and a chair.

Winner: Rikishi.

Match #7: Kurt Angle vs. Crash Holly, KOTR Tournament Match

Gerald Brisco was interviewed and said that he would show Patterson that he is all man. Brisco's evening gown arrived and Brisco was asked if he wanted the regular panties or the crotchless panties.

Crash powerslammed Angle and gave him some right hands. Angle came back with an overhead suplex and put his foot in the throat of Crash Holly. Angle whipped Holly into the corner and clotheslined him. Angle then vertical suplexed Holly and put him in a chin lock. Holly tried to come back, but Angle gave him a knee lift.

Holly came back with several kicks in the corner and then an elbow. Holly then gave Angle a back body drop, a kick, and a clothesline. Holly followed that up with a missile dropkick. Moments later, Angle hit the Olympic Slam to advance to the finals of the tournament.

Winner: Kurt Angle.

Michael Cole interviewed Kane. Kane said that it has always been about one thing, and that is about him becoming the WWF Champion.

The Undertaker was interviewed and said he didn't come to Boston to lose

Match #8: Gerald Brisco vs. Pat Patterson, Evening Gown Match

Patterson kissed ring announcer Howard Finkel and then got on the mic and told Brisco that he looks like an old drag queen. Patterson then said he'd lie down for Brisco and let him win. Patterson then kicked Brisco and the match started.

Patterson put Brisco in the corner and put a maxi pad in his face. Brisco then gave Patterson a low blow. Brisco then gave Patterson the Bronco Buster and then Crash Holly came in and stripped Brisco and Patterson down to their bra and panties. Crash then pinned Patterson to regain the Hardcore Title. After the match, Brisco and Patterson wrestled in the aisle.

Winner: Crash Holly.

Match #9: X-Pac/Road Dogg vs. The Dudley Boys, Dumpster/Table Match

D'Von Dudley was shown assuring Buh Buh Ray Dudley that they would defeat DX tonight.

The Dudleys quickly ran in the ring and DX quickly ran out of the ring. The Road Dogg and Buh Buh Ray opened the match. Buh Buh went after Tori, but Road Dogg stopped him and punched him in the corner. Seconds later, Road Dogg took a superkick from Buh Buh, and then a clothesline from the middle rope. Buh Buh then tagged D'Von. Road Dogg tagged X-Pac.

D'Von took X-Pac down with a clothesline, but X-Pac slammed D'Von's face into the dumpster and then tagged Tori. Tori kicked D'Von and then tagged Road Dogg, who got in a few shots and then tagged X-Pac back in. D'Von took both Road Dogg and X-Pac down. D'Von then tagged Buh Buh. Buh Buh took X-Pac down with his Full Nelson Slam. D'Von gave all three all three members of DX head butts to the balls, except for Tori, he gave her a head butt to the vagina.

The referee was attending to Tori as Road Dogg and X-Pac put Buh Buh and D'Von in the dumpster. The match should've been over, but the Dudleys got out of the dumpster before the referee could see they were in it. Moments later, the Dudley's stacked up two tables on the outside and Buh Buh powerbombed Road Dogg through them to eliminate him.

D'Von superplexed X-Pac through a table, leaving Tori to be eliminated. Tori got in the dumpster to hide. The Dudleys went after her. Road Dogg and X-Pac hit the Dudleys with chairs, knocking them in the dumpster and ending the match. Road Dogg and X-Pac didn't realize that Tori was still in the dumpster. They tried to save her, but got the 3D. Buh Buh then gave Tori the powerbomb, off the top rope, through the table.

Winners: Road Dogg, X-Pac, and Tori.

Match #10: Kurt Angle vs. Rikishi, KOTR Final Match

Michael Cole interviewed Kurt Angle. Angle said he would win the tournament and beat Triple H for the title.

Rikishi was interviewed and said that there was nothing that could stop his ass from backing up.

Rikishi bodyslammed Angle and gave him a pair of corner clotheslines. Angle gave Rikishi a low blow and several right hands. Angle whipped Rikishi into the steps on the outside and punched away at him back on the inside. Rikishi came back with a hard clothesline, a Samoan drop, and a Diamond Cutter.

Rikishi then rubbed his ass in Angle's face, but Angle was able to execute the Olympic Slam. Rikishi kicked out. Angle went for a sunset flip, but Rikishi dropped his mammoth ass on him for a close 2-count. Angle gave Rikishi a belly-to-belly suplex off the top rope for the win and to become the 2000 King Of The Ring!

Winner: Kurt Angle.

Match #11:HHH/Vince & Shane McMahon vs. The Undertaker/Rock/Kane

Remember, if either The Rock, The Undertaker, or Kane pin either Triple H, Vince, or Shane, that man will become the new World Wrestling Federation Champion.

Shane nailed Kane from behind with a big right hand. Kane gave Shane a free shot that didn't do much. Kane took Shane down with a wrist lock and then two-handed chokeslam. Shane crawled out of the ring, but was thrown back in by The Undertaker. Kane clotheslined Shane down hard and press slammed him. Shane tried to chokeslam Shane, but Vince broke it up. Kane tried to chokeslam both of them, but Triple H broke it up and The Rock tagged himself in.

Triple H clotheslined The Rock and Shane gve him shoulder blocks and body shots in the corner. Shane spit on his hand and slapped The Rock. The Rock then beat the shit out of Shane and threw him to the outside. The Undertaker tagged himself in and rolled Shane back in the ring. The Undertaker chokeslammed Shane, but The Rock broke it up. Triple H came from behind and nailed The Undertaker.

The Undertaker put Triple H in the corner and punched the hell out of him. He then gave The Game a back body drop, a clothesline, and a big boot. The Undertaker DDTed Helmsley and went for the pin, but Kane pulled him off. The Rock tagged himself in and he pulled Shane back in the hard. The Rock then knocked Vince and Triple H off the apron. Triple H pulled down the bottom rope and The Rock was sent to the outside.

The Rock took Triple H down with a neck breaker and Triple H took The Rock down with the Pedigree. The Undertaker assisted The Rock in kicking out. Triple H sent The Rock down hard with a clothesline and kicked away at him. Shane came in and took The Rock down with and elbow. Shane then nailed The Rock with left hands. The Rock nailed Shane with a right hand and Triple H got in a cheap shot on The Rock, allowing Shane to clothesline The Rock.

Vince gave The Rock a right hand and Triple H gave him a suplex and a knee drop. Triple H went to the top and took a right hand to the gut. The Rock went for a clothesline, but Triple H executed a neck breaker. The Rock took down all three of his opponents, but took a low blow from Vince. Triple H came in and exchanged right hands with The Rock. The Rock took The Game down with a Samoan drop. Shane broke up the pin and got sent to the outside by The Undertaker. Kane sent Vince to the outside.

Triple H executed a face buster as Kane slammed The Undertaker's face into the steps. The Rock gave Triple H a spinebuster and went for The People's Elbow. Kane stopped The Rock and chokeslammed him. Triple H acted as if he was an ally of Kane. Kane tombstoned Triple H, but The Undertaker broke up the pin. The Undertaker then hit Kane with a chair and chokeslammed Shane off the top rope through the announce table. Meanwhile, Vince went for The People's Elbow on the inside, but The Rock gave him The Rock Bottom for to win the WWF Championship.

After the match, The Rock hit Vince with the belt.

Winner: The Rock (New WWF Champion)
