News & Rumors* WWF Tag Team Champion Edge will be a guest on The View. The View is a daytime talk show on ABC. To see the episode, please check your local listings. Edge will appear on the show on September 1st. * The Rock will be appearing on the MTV Music Video Awards. The Awards show is on September 7th at 8pm Eastern. * The Rock will be the guest on Thursday's edition of Byte This. Byte This airs at 6pm-7pm only at WWF.com. You can ask The Rock a question by dialing 1-888-Live-WWF. The Rock will comment on his Title victory at Summerslam, Triple H, Kurt Angle, his match with Kane on RAW, and several other things. Be sure to catch the show. * A Censored Sign autographed by Steven Richards is currently being sold at auction.wwf.com. The sign is the actual sign that was used to cover Terri Runnels while she stripped on the June 26th edition of RAW! The item is currently at $81! The sign has Steven Richard's autograph on the front, and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. * If you viewed RAW is WAR, you saw Eddy Guerrero attack Triple H after seeing him hug Chyna. You also saw a confused Chyna check on both Eddy Guerrero and Triple H after they were both knocked out by devestating chair shots from Kurt Angle. This week on Smackdown! or next week on RAW, expect Eddy Guerrero to confront Chyna about why she turned her attention to both himself, and Triple H after the Kurt Angle attack. Eddy Guerrero also showed a fiery attitude toward Chyna earlier in the show which could mean that Chyna and Eddy Guerrero could be breaking up in the near future. Prior reports stated that Chyna and Eddy would not be breaking up any time soon. However, now that Chyna is once again an established wrestler and champion, Eddie Guerrero may move back into straight singles action sometime down the line. * Last night on RAW is WAR, Trish Stratus cost Val Venis the Intercontinental Title for not the first, but the second time in consecutive nights. After being pinned by Chyna, Val Venis stormed to the backstage area in search of Trish Stratus. * As mentioned earlier, the WWF is doing their best to draw heat towards the former 2-time Intercontinental Champion in any way, shape, or form. A potential feud with Trish Stratus could be the winning formula to getting Val Venis over as a heel. However, can Val Venis get over as a heel or face without a gimmick, or even decent ring outfit? Vince McMahon has gotten the most unlikely characters over, so do not count Val Venis out just yet. * Tomorrow, August 30, Chyna, Lita, Kurt Angle and Commissioner Mick Foley will be in Washington D.C. to talk about presidential debates and to issue the "SmackDown! Challenge." They'll be at the ballroom of the National Press Club at 12:30 p.m. ET where a news conference will be held. Any interested WWF fans are invited to check out the proceedings. The National Press Club is located at 529 14th. St. NW. * The July 31st Winnipeg Sun is somehow a very hot product right now. This issue is the one that features Chris Jericho's wedding pictures. It's sold out at the Winnipeg Sun, and it's going for $30 at Ebay right now. That's not bad, considering the paper sold for 75 cents. * Chris Jericho will be filming a Taco Bell commercial in Toronto on September 8, 2000. The commercial will be airing in Canada starting on October 9th. * WWF announcer, Lilian Garcia is scheduled to sing the U.S. National Anthem this Thursday at the Chicago Cubs baseball game. * Due to the US Open Tennis, this coming Raw will once again be pre-empted on the East Coast of the United States. Raw will air from 11PM to 1AM EST this coming Raw. * With Bret Hart's return on Nitro, "the band" is back together. This does not neccesarily mean the nWo is back. It just points to a possible nWo reformation, with this being the perfect time and situation for WCW to bring it back. * The main event for WCW Fall Brawl is still Kevin Nash versus Booker T. The tables have changed though, and Kevin Nash is now the champion. It was not made clear on Nitro that Booker vs. Nash would still be the main event, but it will be made clear tomorrow night on Thunder. * During the Shane Douglas-Crowbar scaffold incident last night, Crowbar was very fortunate not to receive any serious injuries. Crowbar did injure his ankle a little, but will not miss any time. * Booker T, Goldberg, Big Vito, and Mike Awesome have common enemies, so if an nWo reformation does occur, expect those 4 men to form a face stable. * Chris Jericho is featured on the front cover of this month's edition of WOW Magazine, which has already hit newsstands. * Tonight on WCW Live!, Insane Clown Posse, Paisley, Stevie Ray, The Cat and Mrs Jones, plus the first edition of "Catering Talk". Catch WCW Live at 8PM-10PM tonight only at WCW.com. The number to call in and be a part of the show is 1-888-WCW-LIVE. * Recently, Shane Douglas ask WCW brass for a match, involving tables and heights, with Kidman at Fall Brawl. It is unknown at this time if Kidman will be ready to compete by September 17th, due to a throat injury he sustained a few weeks ago. * Tickets go on sale this week for WCW's November tour of England. To help promote the tour, and boost ticket sales, Goldberg and Norman Smiley will be making appearances throughout the country. Below is a list of times and locations for their autograph signings. * 5 matches have been announced for WCW Fall Brawl, which will take place on September 19, the following are the matches: - Kevin Nash vs. Booker T (World Heavyweight Title) - Goldberg vs. Scott Steiner - Jeff Jarrett vs. Mike Awesome (Bunkhouse Brawl) - The Franchise vs. Billy Kidman - Pittsburgh Plunge Scaffold Match Sorry, But there is No ECW News at this Time |
