Jeff Jarrett: Good evening everyone. Thanks for joining me, and I'm ready for your questions
Question: Hi Jeff, are you in favor of WCW's new direction?
Jeff Jarrett: Absolutely! Vince and Bischoff have already shown that there is going to be some excitement and interesting story lines to be played out.
Question: Why did you decide to stay that one extra day with the WWF?
Jeff Jarrett: Why did I? Because if I wouldn't have stayed, I wouldn't have been cheating anyone but my fans. I've been asked that many times, but I wouldn't have cheated the WWF or Vince McMahon, just the wrestling fans. I also made one heck of a pay day for staying.
Question: Jeff, do you think that the cruiser match will be a show stealer on Sunday?
Jeff Jarrett: The potential is definitely there. It also depends on how much time is allotted. Too much can be a hindrance and so can too little. Be nice to see what mix comes out of the match.
Question: Jeff, what do you advise an indy worker to do to to make it to the big time?
Jeff Jarrett: Learn how to perform in the ring with all different types of opponents. The value of versatility is immeasurable.
Question: In hindsight...would you still make the switch?
Jeff Jarrett: Absolutely. I could go on and on but I'll just say absolutely.
Question: Did you feel like your were underpushed in WWF?
Jeff Jarrett: Not underpushed, I felt like Steve Austin refusing to work with me didn't help; and circumstance that Vince McMahon could not control, and rightly so, let Steve hand pick his opponents.
Question: Jeff, backstage are you considered a role model for the younger guys in WCW?
Jeff Jarrett: I don't necessarily think so, but in some situations I am. In others I'm not.
Question: Mr. Jarrett, who is your favorite wrestler to work with?
Jeff Jarrett: I have several. They are all for different reasons though. I enjoyed working with Scott Hall and Sean Michaels. And me and Dallas Page have good styles that should match well together as well, so I'm looking forward to that.
Question: What are your thoughts on Steve Austin?
Jeff Jarrett: Tremendous mouth piece in the ring, obviously a strong drawing card. He defined the attitude era of the WWF, and Vince McMahon saw the opportunity and pushed Steve to the forefront. I think Steve can be his own worst enemy sometimes though.
Question: Are the guitars you use gimmicked?
Jeff Jarrett: A dumb question deserves a dumb answer -- Hell no!
Question: Jeff, you've got a fantastic body and have been in great shape for years. What is your detailed workout regimen, and what bodybuilding supplements do you use if any?
Jeff Jarrett: I try to eat as clean as possible. The main thing about the workout is consistency. That's the number one thing.
Question: Jeff, how do you feel that WCW stands in the Ratings War with WWF at the moment?
Jeff Jarrett: It's pretty apparent that we're getting our butts kicked. This past Monday and Wednesday, though, things are looking up. All we can do is work hard, bust our butt and hope for the best. The wrestling fans of the year 2000 are very demanding, and we hope to give the good story lines.
Question: Do you have any Spring Stampede spoilers for us?
Jeff Jarrett: None, I don't have any. But there are few details I've heard of, and its going to be a dang good one if the guys can carry it out.
Question: Where did slapnutz originate?
Jeff Jarrett: My grandmother used to call people slappy's, and that's someone who talks a lot but doesn't know anything, and I took it from there. Choke on that, slapnut!
Question: Would you have a problem jobbing to the less-established talent, like Kidman?
Jeff Jarrett: Absolutely not! In today's wrestling environment, jobs mean nothing. It's the compelling story lines that entertain the viewer.
Question: Jeff, do feel you have accomplished a great deal in your wrestling career, personally as well as professionally?
Jeff Jarrett: I'm not sure about personally, but wrestling is my professional career. I've accomplished a lot of my goals professionally though. I'm looking forward to many years to come though and to keep climbing that ladder.
Jeff Jarrett: Hope everyone tunes in Sunday and Monday on Nitro, and I appreciate all the slapnutz out there that tune in and hope your happy with the direction we're taking and let us know what you think. Good night!
