"Shadow of the Vampire" is a pretty good movie. This wasn't a very good copy of it, mind you, so I'm not sure entirely how good a movie it was. It was a typical video camera in a movie theater setup; the kind where the guy holding the camera keeps sneezing and coughing and people keep getting up in front of the camera to go to the bathroom. I look forward to seeing it for real.
What "Shadow of the Vampire" is not is 1981's "Scanners" starring Michael Ironside, although that's him with the veins and the white eyes scanning someone (Stephen Lack, I believe, in the climactic scene).
"Shadow of the Vampire" does have an ugly monster in it (William Dafoe playing Nosferatu playing Max Schreck playing Nosferatu), it doesn't have anything at all resembling the ugly mess in the upper right-hand corner of the cover. I'm not sure which terrible horror film this is from, but it's definitely not "Shadow of the Vampire". I thought it was "Troll" but have since decided it's not. If you know which film it's from drop me a line at gerardlopez@hotmail.com .
