Taped Event airing Saturday, February, 8th, 2003!
~The screen is black when suddenly the House of Pain logo flashes onto the screen as we see a few clips from last Sunday’s Damaged Dreams Pay Per View. We see Tina Davis and Teck Nyne advance from the Semi Finals to the finals of the World Title Tournament. We then watch as Tommy Crimson wins the Hardcore Title, followed by The Frost taking home the Oceanic Title. Next we see the Death Rebels become the first Tag Team Champions. After that, we see highlights from the Internet Battle Royal as Seth Frizz outlasts Poizon Ivy to become the Internet Champion. Next, Brad Marley is able to win the dangerous, Hazardous Ladder Match to win the CruiserWeight Title. After that, we see one hell of a match as Gambler Greg comes up just short to Triple M in the #1 contender’s match. And finally, we watch Teck Nyne defeat Tina Davis to become the first ever HOP World Champion! With that, we fade into the House Show studio where Razor and Reid are seated, ready to begin~
Razor: Hello again everyone and welcome to yet another House Show here in House of Pain Wrestling!! And well, we are just on the heels of a great Pay Per View, aren’t we Reid?
Reid: Sure are Razor, and as most of you saw from those clips, it was one hell of a night!
Razor: Yes…but a few things left out where Scott Syren’s Biker Gang stirring up trouble and Dean’s hummer blowing up in his face at the end of the show.
Reid: Yup, not to mention Booch Freeman’s signing!
Razor: Can’t leave that one out, that’s for sure! But before we get to a Damaged Dreams review…lets go over some rumos making their rounds here in the House of Pain…
Reid: Well Razor the first rumor has to be concerning who the culprit was that blew up Dean’s hummer. For those of you wondering, Dean is okay and he will be at Wargames this week!
Razor: That’s good to hear and for whomever set that hummer on fire, there will be hell to pay…care to make any accusations?
Reid: Tony Case springs to mind…
Razor: You really think he’d do that to Dean?
Reid: I don’t know…it could be Syren too
Razor: Or Shadow Stalker…hell, it could be anyone!
Reid: Yea, I’m sure Dean will figure it out.
Razor: Uh huh…also circling around is the rumor of numerous stables in the works in House of Pain Wrestling…can you confirm these?
Reid: Well, yes and no…there are definitely a few big name guys out there working on putting some stables together…but nothing etched in stone as of yet. However, if these stables materialize into what they appear they might become…well, it’s going to be very scary.
Razor: I can imagine so. Any news on the signing of new talent front?
Reid: Not really…as you may know by now, Dean is making massive cuts this weekend, so expect the roster to shrink considerably. However, knowing Dean like I do, they will be replaced in no time. As we speak right now, Dean is out working the phones and signing contracts.
Razor: Good to hear. Well, that wraps up the rumors for this week…it’s time for our first taped match featuring Pitbull taking on Decon Kindred. Any thoughts on Kindred?
Reid: CUT!
Pitbull (0-0) vs. Decon Kindred (0-0)
~The bell sounds with both men already in the ring. Kindred tries to get in some offense, but is quickly stopped by the very motivated and dominating Pitbull. Pitbull bullies Kindred into the corner and goes off on him with vicious chops and kicks to the chest and midsection. Pitbull then pulls him out of the corner and beats on him some in the middle of the ring. Pitbull then shows that this match is over as he lifts Kindred over, places him over his shoulders and goes for a DVD but then turns it into a stunner! The move he calls The Pitfall!! Kindred is out as Pitbull makes the cover~
Time of Match 1:01
Winner Pitbull
~We fade back into the studio~
Razor: Wow, what a dominating performance by Pitbull!
Reid: Hell yea, he has looked unstoppable thus far in his House of Pain career, it will be interesting to see how far he can take this streak.
Razor: Sure will…but now, let’s move on to a Damaged Dreams recap.
Reid: Alright, well I guess I’ll begin with the first two Semi-Final matches. I gotta tell you, Tina Davis is one hell of an athlete. She beat Xtreme in a legitimate upset, great match. But after that, Teck Nyne pulled off another upset by pinning The Sniper, the man many had picked to walk away with the World Title.
Razor: Yea, those were two great matches, but after that was a Hardcore classic as Tommy Crimson beat both Marcus Gratton and Commando.
Reid: Yea, we had high aspirations for Marcus Gratton and Commando, but now…well now, they don’t look impressive at all.
Razor: I gotta agree with that. Next was the Tag Team Title match as Pitbull and Reaver defeated the other two teams of The Outsiders and The Gate-Keepers.
Reid: Well, neither one of those two teams are employed in HOP Wrestling anymore, so that tells you just how bad the Death Rebels beat those two teams.
Razor: Yea…good point. After that, Frost defeated Carl Fate and Alec BeGrod to win the Oceanic Title.
Reid: The Frost is one hell of a wrestler, plain and simple…he is going to be HUGE here in HOP Wrestling.
Razor: Alright, then after that we saw Seth Frizz win the battle royal over another feisty female in Poizon Ivy and two very impressive rookies in Yaron Mor and Billy Redneck.
Reid: Seth Frizz is finally coming into his own and I look for more of the same from him…he’s going to be huge, just like The Frost. Don’t give up on Poizon Ivy, Yaron Mor, and Billy Redneck just yet either, all three of these competitors have very bright futures here in HOP Wrestling.
Razor: That leads us to Brad Marley defeating Angel and Joshua Curtis in the CruiserWeight Title Hazardous Ladder Match.
Reid: Can anyone say Brad Marley, HOP World Champion? It could happen as soon as next month…I can see Brad Marley getting a World Title shot…quite possibly at the March Pay Per View here in HOP Wrestling. As for Angel and Joshua Curtis…they have some work to do, but definitely have all the tools to reach that main event level as well.
Razor: Then we saw another five star classic as Triple M barely beat Gambler Greg…great match by both men.
Reid: Yes, sure was…both men are Main Event caliber right now, too bad one of them had to lose that match…really is. If Triple M doesn’t get the job done this month…then look for the Gambler to get a crack at the World Title soon after.
Razor: And finally, Teck Nyne defeats Tina Davis for the World Title.
Reid: Teck Nyne was simply amazing. He outlasted all the others in the World Title Tournament and is now the World Champion. HOP Wrestling couldn’t have asked for a better champion and I’m excited to see where Teck Nyne leads us in the future as our World Champ.
Razor: Okay…what about Scott Syren’s biker gang attacks?
Reid: What can you say? Syren will be Syren! He is one hell of an entertaining guy and when he is in the arena anything and everything can and will happen! My sources backstage say that Tommy Crimson was most offended by what happened and may try to do something about it.
Razor: Very interesting and as for the Booch signing…good or bad?
Reid: What kind of a question is that? Good, of course! Booch Freeman is one of the most underrated talents in this industry. I expect him to absolutely BLOW UP here in HOP Wrestling.
Razor: Fair enough…well it’s time for our second taped match of the evening.
Reaver (0-0) vs. Carl Fate (0-3)
~Both men are in the ring as the bell sounds and they get off to a quick start. Fate gets in some early offense, using his quickness, before Reaver catches him with a vicious running lariat, taking him down. Reaver then pulls him back to his feet and whips him into a corner, Fate hits hard. Reaver goes into the corner with him and really goes off on him with lefts and rights. Reaver then pulls him out of the corner and into the middle of the ring. Reaver now lifts Fate up on his shoulders and drops him with an inverted DVD!! A move he calls The Myth!! Reaver goes for a pin and gets the win~
Time of Match 1:05
Winner Reaver
~We fade back into the studio~
Razor: Well, Reaver just destroyed Carl Fate…The Death Rebels are looking very impressive tonight.
Reid: Sure are, not only are they a great tag team, but they are also formidable singles wrestlers.
Razor: Certainly appears so…now, let’s preview this week’s Wargames, before we end the show with the final match of the evening.
Reid: Well, you got Scott Syren debuting in HOP against Alec BeGrod…this is going to be one hell of a match, I think.
Razor: Yea, Scott Syren is one of the all time greats in this business and Alec BeGrod is one of those guys about to break through…who do you see winning this one?
Reid: Scott Syren should win this match…anything else would be a big upset, in my opinion.
Razor: Okay, and after that, Poizon Ivy is facing Shadow Stalker…thoughts?
Reid: Shadow Stalker all the way…Poizon ivy is very talented, but Shadow Stalker is one of the very best.
Razor: I agree, how about Booch Freeman taking on Tony Case.
Reid: Well, Case is a very talented superstar, while Booch is a highly sought after recruit. I’m going to go with Booch here, Case is going to have more on his mind Wednesday than just a singles match.
Razor: Interesting pick…how about Yaron Mor against Tommy Crimson?
Reid: I’m going with an upset here, Yaron Mor is plain and simple a monster. Tommy Crimson, with the title not on the line, may not take this match so seriously, and I could see Yaron getting a big win here for his young career.
Razor: It sure could happen. Now onto the big tag team match, winners face Death Rebels for the titles the following week…who wins this?
Reid: Man, this one is too close to call. But if I have to chose, I’m going with Gambler Greg and Triple M. These guys are two of the best HOP has to offer and I think they are going to mesh well as a team…however, Brad Marley and Angel are two incredibly talented superstars and they could easily win this as well.
Razor: Alright and now for the main event, Title for Title with Tina Davis taking on Seth Frizz.
Reid: Tina Davis has had a nice run, but it stops here, I’m going with Seth Frizz.
Razor: Okay…anything else we can expect for Wargames?
Reid: Look for Dean to be in a testy mood over his hummer bombing and look for someone to regret ever having planted that bomb in Dean’s hummer.
Razor: Okay and with that being said, lets end this week’s show with our last taped match!
Billy Redneck (1-2) vs. Commando (2-1)
~The match got started up quickly as Billy Redneck dominated and dismantled Commando very quickly. He toyed around with him, slapping, kicking and pushing him around. He finally put Commando out of his misery with the Redneckbreaker! He got the pin and the win~
Time of Match 23 seconds
Winner Billy Redneck
