Doomsday 2002 started off with a video montage showing every person ever to wrestle in TCW. The video was set to "My Sacrifice" by Creed, and to some degree it followed the pattern of the famous WWF videos set to the same song. However, the TCW video had a strong point to make. At the end of the video, these words appeared: "Sacrifice? No one pays us to do this. We do it because we love it." With those strong and critical words, the TCW's final event began.

Footage taken earlier in the day of TCW wrestlers arriving was shown. Commentators Ace Gray and Bob West pointed out that all the big names were present for the historic event -- Omega, Heat, Futko, Stryfe and Mark Angel just to name a few. The commentators said that three great matches were scheduled to take place at Doomsday 2002, but that the viewers would see so much more than just three matches. Ace Gray said that the event would be a trip down memory lane, with highlights of all the greatest moments in TCW history. Bob West mentioned something about a special tribute to the most popular wrestler in TCW history.

Heat Interview

Heat's music hit and the World Champion walked to the ring. Heat talked about how he and Omega were the first two wrestlers in TCW, and how it was fitting that they would face each other in the final TCW match. Heat said that both he and Omega were the only 3-time World Champions. Heat said that that wasn't good enough, and that he wanted to be the only 4-time World Champion. Heat said that he cut a deal with the TCW Executive Committee. He said that as of that moment, he was vacating the TCW World Title. The match between he and Omega would determine who got to be the only 4-time World Champion, and that person would be declared the greatest wrestling in TCW history. Heat then called Omega down the the ring. Omega climbed in the ring and stood face to face with Heat. The two stares each other straight in the eyes for a long time. Out of nowhere, Little Mikey Walker's music hit and the Backyard Champion walked down to the ring. Mikey complained that he didn't even have a match at Doomsday 2002 and he called Heat and Omega big bullies. Mikey said that he was going to stand up for the "little guy". Mikey took a swing at Heat, but Heat floored him. Outside the ring, Heat and Omega took turns beating the crap out of Mikey. It appeared that the two were sizing each other up and competing to see who could execute the best moves on him. When Heat and Omega had decided that Mikey had had enough, they stared at each other for a long time before walking to the back.

In the back we saw and interview from Stryfe. Stryfe said that he had done many things in TCW to be remembered by, but that he wanted to be remembered as the best eXtreme wrestler ever. He said he would do things in his match with Mark Angel that would cement his reputation.

Next the commentators explained how the eXtreme Championship Match would work. It would be a Five Stages of Hell Match. To win, you would have to complete the five stages in order -- pin your opponent, put your opponent through a table, climb up a ladder and retrieve a weapon on a pole, make your opponent bleed, and injure your opponent so much that he is down for a 10-count.

Cameras showed Mark Angel in the back with interviewer Michael Burton. Angel said that the eXtreme division had passed Stryfe by. Angel said that he was the most eXtreme wrestler in TCW, and that he would prove it in his match.

Mark Angel (c) vs. Stryfe
Five Stages of Hell Match

This was a dream match -- a fight between the two most eXtreme wrestlers in TCW history. This match had huge expectations, and it certainly lived up to them. Early in the match, Angel showed why his wrestling style had been called the "new wave of eXtreme". Angel tore through Stryfe, scoring a pinfall within minutes. Soon after that, he had Stryfe set up on a table and he climbed a ladder. Angel flew through the air and landed the Mark of the Angel onto Stryfe. Even though Angel was clearly injured by this move, he wasn't about the let anything stop him. He quickly moved over to where the weapons on a pole (two kendo sticks) were hanging and climbed up the ladder to retrive his weapon. Angel was on Stage 4 in the match, and Stryfe had yet to get past Stage 1. Angel began to nail Stryfe in the head with the kendo stick, and it looked like he might make Stryfe bleed (which would put Angel on the fifth and final Stage). Stryfe began to wrestle with desperation, and it helped. Stryfe rolled up Angel and got the pin, moving on to Stage 2. However, Angel got back the momentum by busting poen Stryfe's forehead. Angel was on Stage 5 and Stryfe was way only on Stage 2. Stryfe knew that he would have to turn it up a notch, and that's what he did. He was able to put Angel through a table with an Electric Chair Drop, and then he quickly climbed the ladder and got his weapon off the pole. Stryfe then was able to bust open Angel with a kendo stick, evening up the match. Both Stryfe and Mark Angel were on the last stage -- Last Man Standing. Both wrestlers began beating each other with all the energy that they could muster, but neither could keep his opponent down. Stryfe hit a frog splash off the ladder, but it wasn't enough. Angel hit the Mark of the Angel off the ladder but that wasn't enough. Finally, Stryfe hit Angel with a Bytchin' Bulldog on the outside and it was just enough to keep Angel down for the 10-count. Stryfe was declared the last ever eXtreme Champion after one hell of a match.

Winner and NEW Extreme Champion:
Stryfe

Futko vs. Instigator
"I Quit" Match

As Futko said, he had been waiting for this match all winter. When he wrestled Instigator at Hardcore Halloween III, it was one of thoe most brutal matches in TCW history. Futko won, but he never actually got the pleasure of pinning Instigator or making him submit. Instead, the referee ended the match and declared Futko the winner because he felt that Instigator was so hurt that he couldn't defend himself. There would be no ending like that at Doomsday 2002. It was decided that these two bitter enemies should be able to fight to a finish, no matter how injured they became. The only way this match would end would be when one of the two competitors said "I quit". Futko entered for what would be the last match of his career and, as always, the most popular wrestler in TCW history performed for all of his adoring fans. He danced and danced, busting several never-before-seen moves. Instigator entered next and was immediately attacked by Futko and the match was underway. This match had high expectations, and it didn't disappoint. We saw moves that were even more brutal than the last time these two wrestlers met. Instigator proved that he is the very best in TCW when it comes to inventing new moves. He showed off his agility and his power in this match. Futko showed off what a tough bastard he is. At one point, Futko was sent flying upside down into the fence and you could see the fence crack underneath his weight. Futko absorbed more punishment than any person should, including a cookie sheet kicked right into his face, the Eliminator on the outside, and a missed flip off the trampoline to the outside that saw him land with a sickening thud. In the end, the Huge Phat Party Animal would not be denied. He hit Insitgator with all his signature moves -- the Bulldozer, The A.D.D. and the Tummy Rumbler. Futko handcuffed Instigator to the side of the trampoline just like he did at Hardcore Halloween III, and he began to drill him with cookie sheet shots to the head. The referee couldn't stop the match as he did when this exact thing happened at Hardcore Halloween III, so Futko continued to pummel a helpless Instigator. Finally, Instigator could take no more and he submitted.

Winner:
Futko

Backstage, Michael Burton told Mikey that he just got his ass kicked by Heat and Omega. Mikey fired back, telling Burton that how tired he is of people underestimating the greatest Backyard Champion of all time. He then challenged Burton to face him in the ring, if he has the "jingle bells".

Mikey (c) vs. Michael Burton

Michael Burton entered the backyard first. He interviewed himself in the ring, and said that he would kick Mikey's ass. Mikey entered next. He threw down the Backyard Title and ran at Burton. Burton caught him with a hiptoss. The commentator's were going insane, screaming for Burton to cover Mikey. The referee counted three and raised the hand of the new Backyard Champion, TCW Interviewer Michael Burton! Mikey got up slowly up and offered Burton a congratulatory hug, but Burton just gave Mikey the finger and walked off with the belt.

Winner and NEW Backyard Champion:
Michael Burton

Cameras in the back showed Omega. The 3-time former World Champion had a few final words before he and Heat participated in the last ever match in TCW. Omega said that Heat made a big mistake when he vacated the World Title. Omega said that one thing would be certain when it was all said and done -- that everyone would remember the name Omega when they thought of TCW.
Heat vs. Omega

"Moyda" by Adam Sandler, Omega's first of several entrance songs in TCW, played and The Original enterted to the ring. Omega looked calm and ready for what would be the match to decide the best wrestler in TCW history. Omega and Heat were the only two wrestlers ever to hold the World Title on three occasions. Tonight, one of them would be leaving as the only 4-time World Champion and with a legitimate claim to being the best wrestler ever in TCW. Interestingly enough, neither Heat nor Omega had ever won the Main Event at Doomsday, even though there had never been a Doomsday Main Event without at least one of them in it. "Sober" by Tool played, and Heat walked to the ring with a look of determination on his face. You could feel the anticipation as Omega and Heat sized each other up. Finally, they locked up. The match was on. Omega showed his power by tossing Heat down. They tied up and again and again Heat was sent flying by the powerful Omega. Omega then went to work on Heat's ribs. It appeared that that would be the strategy of The Original. Heat managed to escape a bearhug by gouging Omega's eyes, and then he revealed his strategy. Heat immediately went to work on Omega's legs, trying to take away the big man's vertical base. The backyard couldn't contain this match and, for the first time since the first ever Doomsday, the action spilled over to the front yard. The two wrestlers battled out front, and then back into the backyard. We saw several near falls. Heat took the advantage in the match and then was able to hit Omega with his own move, the DeKAPPAtater. Heat covered Omega, but Omega was just somehow able to kick out. However, it was clear that Omega was spent, and it had taken him all that he had left to kick out of that pinfall attempt. Heat hit Omega with the Heat Stroke and covered him. As the referee's hand came down for the third count, Omega's shoulder rose off the ground. Heat had a look of disbelief on his face. Omega had kicked out of both wrestlers' finishing moves. Both wrestlers got up slowly, and somehow Omega was able to lock Heat in a sleeper hold. With the bloodflow to his brain restricted by Omega's biceps, Heat began to lose consciousness. Just as it looked like he was out, Heat summoned energy from somewhere and jumped on the side of the trampoline, catapulting himself back onto Omega. The referee began the count, but before he could reach three Omega had rolled through with the pin and had Heat's shoulder's pinned to the ground. The referee counted the three and declared Omega the winner.

Winner and NEW World Champion:
Omega

Omega was handed the World Title and had his hand raised in victory. Heat stood up slowly and offered his hand to Omega. Omega shook Heat's hand and raised his arm in a show of respect. The greatest wrestler in TCW history then slowly walked to the back for the final time, pausing in front to the Doomsday 2002 banner to pay his respects. As Doomsday went off the air, Omega stood by the banner and pointed at three letters on the banner -- TCW.
