New Year, New Column, New Attitude, New Style. Its a whole bunch of new things on Random Words. Today I speak of something that means a lot to me, something I dont speak out about enough. Truth is I dont have anyone I know to show it to. Everyone I know, is the *oposing* team so to speak. But this year, I am going into it with a bang, this is gonna be a column about my feelings more often. And interviews out the ying-yang from time to time. So enjoy the column, and if you dont like it ... too bad.

Straight Edge.... Ever hear of it? CM Punk? How bout him? Ever hear of him?

How about 4:20? Ever hear of that fun Catch Phrase? Perhaps Happy hour? Ever hear of Happy Hour?

Straight edge is a way of life, a life different then many professional wrestlers, and sadly most people in any way of life. A life lived without Alcohol, Drugs, Tobacco, and Promiscuous Sex. A life spent using, and a life that, may or may not, be changed for the worse because of it.

Jeff Hardy? A man who took the big bumps, the falls from atop of ladders and is probably now the biggest joke in wrestling (besides Teddy Hart). He was made this way through the bumps, and the drugs that he took to make those bumps more bare able. I may not know the man personally, but no one, not even his own brother believes him when he says he doesn't do drugs.

Jake Roberts? Need I say more? Well, I will anyway. Probably the most capable wrestler of his time, and the most charismatic as well. The "life" screwed him too. The boozing, the drugging and the complete lack of self respect has left him for a loop as well.

I wont go and say certain people who have died, maybe because of their drug, drinking, or sexual encounters that left them the way they are today. I wont, mostly because I have more respect then that. Just think of the people who have fallen, how many of them do you think dident do these things?

Back to CM Punk... "Straight Edge" CM Punk.... "Second City Saint" CM Punk... " I Am Better then You!" CM Punk. CM Punk is a new brand of wrestler, hopefully one many will follow (M-Dogg and Prohibition two of which who have followed in his foot steps) has became one of the few wrestlers who openly speak of being "Straight Edge." But this, being Straight Edge, makes him a.... Heel?

Something has obviously happened in the world, not just wrestling, CM Punk, a great athlete, and the most charismatic guy I have ever heard, is automatically a Heel, because he speaks against all of the uses people take. CM Punk is a good Heel, I gotta admit, but I dont think its because what the world needs, so to speak. There are so many people who get over just because they have a reference to Smoking Pot, or Drinkin Booze. Its sorta pathetic.

I Am Straight Edge, and that does not make me any better then you, but why must it be an attitude to not Drink and Do Drugs? Lots of the people who Drink, probably are not even of age, and Drugs are Illegal anyway. So your saying, the law abiding citizen becomes the bad guy? Wow have things changed.

I guess I am just trying to be nice, cause really, I dont really have a problem with people doing these things, but I dont wanna see people screw up their lives. But I cant stop them, so screw them, go F**K up your own lives and stay the hell outa mine. You boo my hero? Fine, wrestlings a work anyway. But the fact that this doesn't just abide to Wrestling is some major shit. How many times a day do you see the "Tobacco is whacko if your a teen" Or "Pot is worse then we thought" or even "Friends dont let friends drive drunk"...... But is there any "Dont molest children" or "Killing is wrong" on during commercials. America finds it sooo important to try and help you change, when really, you dont wanna change do you? You probably would have already? Wouldn't have you?

.... Sorry for the outburst, but when were considered a *underground group* and made fun of for not doing all these things ... sorta pisses me off. And the fact that the world is so 420'ed that everywhere you go you find Booze, Drugs or Sex.

Now for Sex, Sex is not all bad per say. Its a good thing to make love with someone you know, love and respect. Its not allright to have it all over everything, we dont really need to see it that much do we? We dont need to hear about the new Male Enhancement product every ten mins to we? I have a good feeling that everyone and their bastard son knows about it by now, and if they really want it, go right ahead! Go get it you lil punker you!

So to explain some of my more harsher statements, its not to be mean, but those are my pure emotions. I honestly dont feel that I am any better then anyone, nor do I use the Straight Edge label to give myself a Higher then Thou profile, but really hopefully this column will at least make you think. And if I could have been any more Random, I would have probably needed Dyslexia. So intill next time Wrestling fans, Alcoholics, Druggies, Whores, sXers and whoever reads these damn things, good day.
