2005
Fort Worth Christian Varsity Football (sophomore
year)
I made the varsity football team as a sophomore and played in six
games(up until the start of varsity basketball practice). I started
in two games playing at half-back, free safety and kick returns. At
the six week mark of the season, I was the leading yards gainer in
rushing(though not attempts) and returns. This will most likely be
my final season of football as I wish to concentrate solely on basketball.
Below
are the stats for my six game season. I also have game stats for the
two games I am most proud of:

10/7/2005 FWC
vs Arlington Grace Prep. Arlington Grace Prep was ranked 3rd in the
state for large private schools at the time. It was my last football
game of the season and my team lost 20-17, but it was my first and
only start at half-back. I had more rushing opportunities that game
than any other this season.

8/26/2005 FWC
vs Fort Worth Nolan Cathlolic. It was our season opener and Nolan
was the defending state champion for large private schools. It was
my first football game playing at FWC. I got into the game with just
over two minutes left before the half and then played the entire third
quarter. There was a 14 point deficit when I entered the game, and
we had a three point lead when I left at the start of the fourth quarter.
FWC won the game 40-37. I also had 98 yards on 2 kick-off returns,
one of which was for 72 yards. Nolan went on to repeat as state champions
for 2005.
