I THINK OF YOU

When things go wrong and times look gray,
I look for you to guide the way.
When all has failed and struggles near
I look for you to be right here.
I need your strength to see me through
I have the faith--you know I do.
I need your guidance day by day
You have my love in every way.
I know you'd never let me down
I mean not to complain
But now I need your help Lord
In order to refrain
From stressful times and trying times
It wears upon your heart
Like a deep and heavy burden
Smothering you from the start.
But I look to you to lead the way
And show me right from wrong
For the devil's always knocking
But with you--I will be strong.
He tempts and tears and preys upon
Us each and everyone
From the light of day till the dark of night
He wants us to belong.
But with faith in you and God above
My clouds will go away
And sunshine will again return
To brighten up my days.
My needs are only to serve you
In any way I can
To help another troubled soul
Become a perfect man.
To do your will and spread the word
And never lose the way
To join the many others
And be with you--someday.
