SCHOOL SONG (NATIONAL ANTHEM)

Oh say can you see---
Why's this happening to me--
I hugged my mom and my daddy--
And was happy as can be.
Then I walked down the hall--
Knowing nothing at all--
I stopped by my old locker--
To put a few books away.
Then I went to my class--
Took my seat by the window--
Said Good Morning Miss Fern--
Then as I started to turn.
I heard the firing of guns--
I knew not which way to run--
Everybody was screaming--
So I just started praying.
God please make them go away--
Help us get through this day--
I want to see my mom and daddy--
I don't want to die here.
There were kids on the floor--
Maybe twenty or more--
All scared and all crying--
Thinking this was the end.
Oh say can anyone help us--
We just came to school to learn--
But the ones that have the guns--
Think that this is alot of fun.
Don't they have a dad and mom--
Please tell us whats wrong--
Why would they want to do this--
Why would they want to hurt us.
Put the prayers back in school--
Lets teach children the rules--
Teach them how to respect us--
Lets teach them right from the wrong.
For if we cannot do this--
Our childrens lives is what we'll pay--
Don't you want to see them grow--
Or are you ready to dig their grave?
