I want to dedicate a poem
to you
For on this special day
Let it be known to
everyone
What makes this--Mother's
Day.
When I was small you sang
to me
And tucked my blankets in
When I was scared you lay
by me
Until the dawn--shone in.
I still recall the
memories
The fun filled days and
nights
Although its been so many
years
Since I have held you
tight.
You gave us all you had to
give
No child could ask for
more
You were the envy of
everyone
Whether they were rich or
poor.
You made our house more
than a home
Where friends and family
came
To talk and visit with us
Time and time again.
Then as time went by and
you were ill
The sparkle in your eyes
Still shone beyond the
pool of tears
Still shone beyond the
cries.
I can still hear your
laughter sometimes at night
When the wind is calm and
still
I can still see a twinkle
in the stars
When the skies are
beautifully filled.
I know you know we miss
you
Far more than words can
say
I know you know we love
you
With each and every day.
So as we lay our flowers
Upon the ground so still
Remember our precious
moments
Of the laughter and the
thrills
You gave to each and
everyone
No matter where or when
That's why I can't forget
you
That's why there is no
end.
To a love that grows
within our hearts
Our mom you'll always be
The best one in the whole
wide world
There are no doubts for
me.
So sleep my dear and rest
in peace
And dad sends his love too
But you already knew
this---
Just because,you're you.
I dedicated this poem to my
grandma Mitchell
