MY LOVE, MY LIFE, MY YOU

I love to think back to the days
When we were young and met
We both knew in an instant
This love of our was meant.
You was the leader of the class
And they all followed you
Like the time there was no water
You left and they did too.
Of course I stayed and studied
I never missed a class
I was the perfect student
I wanted school to last.
Then after school came marriage
And we had so little time
Until you went off to the war
You were always on my mind.
We wrote alot of letters
I cried alot of tears
I couldn't wait until the day
That I could hold you near.
While you were in Korea and fighting for your life
I just kept thinking to myself I'm such a lucky wife.
And you were thinking of these thoughts
And wishing the same too
You couldn't wait to get back home
To the wonderful wife you knew.
The war was over and you came home to find a small surprise
You had a little baby girl with blond hair and blue eyes.
Though you were only gone six months it seemed like years to me
But home you came to be a dad and have a family.
I just want to say I Love You-- from the moment that we met
And I'm just as much in love right now-- there have never been any regrets.
I'll love you till my dying days and then for many more
For God above has promised--he will open up the Door.
The Door to everlasting life where dreams will all come true
And we will share our future, my love, my life, my you.
