I want to ask a favor,
You've heard this one before,
I have a friend that's dying,
He's knocking at Your Door.
I know not if he'll enter,
Or if his time has come,
I pray you grant a miracle,
For he's in need of one.
You see there was an accident,
He's not the one to blame,
Another careless person,
Is causing him much pain.
I know I need not tell you,
Of all the good he's done,
Or that he has a family,
That is depending on---
A miracle to happen,
We know you know what's best,
I know we're not to question,
Please lay our minds at rest.
We're worried and we're frightened,
Of what is yet to come,
Please help us to be strong,
If anything should go wrong.
I ask this favor of You,
Please help us find the way,
Please let it be your will Lord,
To let my dear friend stay.
