My husband went to Heaven,
One night while coming home,
God called his name and said "It's Time"
The "Light" has been left on.
As he looked up towards the Heavens,
He knew his time was near,
He stopped to gaze just one last time,
And wipe away a tear.
God touched him on the shoulder
And said "Don't worry son",
For you can see your family
Each dawn and setting sun.
You've only left a body
You've saved your soul for me
To live forever in my Kingdom
For all Eternity.
You've been a thoughtful husband
You've been a loving dad
You've given so much to others
This time for them is sad.
You can blow a kiss to them each night
You can touch them like the wind
You can still be their protector
Be with them till the end.
They may not see you physically
I know you're not of flesh
But each one holds a part of you
Forever as you rest.
To my wife I'll always love you
Every minute of the day
And I will still protect you
Along life's winding way.
To my daughter you will always be
The apple of my eye
And I will always be proud of you
And be right by your side.
And to my son I say with pride
Take care of your mom and sister
For now you are the man of the house
I will always be by your side too.
So when you feel a soft cool breeze
Or think you hear the wind
It's just my way of letting you know
That I'm just holding your hand.
So blow a kiss toward Heaven,
And say your prayers at night,
And I will send you courage,
To help you through each night.
I love you all in every way,
I'm in a wonderful place,
And someday you can join me here,
In God's Mansion out in space.
