"It's about time." Nick said. "Where the hell have you been?"
AJ just glared at Nick over the rim of his sunglasses and kept walking until he reached the couch and fell on to it.
"Someone got up on the wrong side of the bed." Nick mumbled.
"No I didn't." AJ said from his lounged position on the couch. "I haven't made it to my bed yet."
"What?" Brian said, surprised.
"Me and Drew went clubbing all night long. I haven't been to bed yet."
Kevin glanced in Howie's direction to catch the self-satisfied look on his face before he clenched his jaw and turned to AJ. "Well, you're not going to be any good to us today. We might as well all go home." he half yelled as he grabbed his few belongings and headed for the door.
AJ lifted his head and looked around. "Whose going to give me a ride home?" he asked.
"Where's your car?" Kevin said from the doorway.
AJ laid his head back down and appeared to think about it. "You know, I have no idea. It must be at one of the clubs we went to last night. I took a cab over here."
"Well, then take a cab home." Kevin said through his teeth and then left.

As Kevin stood on the side of the street, waiting for the light to change, he felt a hand reach into his pocket.
An amateur pickpocket. He thought seconds before he grabbed the slender wrist and hauled the pickpocket up against the nearest wall.
"Drew." he said as he looked down into Drew's smiling face.
"Hi, Kevin." she said.
"What are you doing?" he asked her as he took a step away, not needing to be too close to her.
She shrugged and grinned at him. "Just trying to get you're attention."
Kevin turned to walk across the street and she followed him. "I figured you'd still be in bed." he commented.
"Oh yeah? Why's that?" she asked, as if she didn't know.
"Because of your all night date with AJ, I guess."
As they reached the other side of the street, Drew turned and stopped right in front of Kevin. "Are you jealous?" she asked.
Kevin gave a half laugh and stepped around her to keep walking down the sidewalk. "Why would I be jealous, Drew?"
Drew fell back into step beside Kevin and said "I don't know, AJ's a pretty hot guy and when we went to the club last night--"
She stopped when Kevin cut her off. "You know, I really am happy for you and AJ and I'd love to hear all about your date but I have to go. I'll see you around, angel." And at that, he turned the corner to enter the parking lot where his 4Runner was parked and he was gone.

Standing beside Brian and Nick, Kevin looked around the club and shook his head.
"What's wrong, Kev?" Nick said laughingly as he laid a hand on Kevin's shoulder. He and Brian both knew that Kevin wasn't that big on clubs and didn't want to be there.
Kevin shrugged off Nick's hand and said "I'm getting a drink." He left Nick standing there and headed for the bar.
As he stood waiting for his drink, a familar scent drifted to him. Drew. He thought instantly and turned toward the scent. Just as he thought, Drew was standing near by, smiling up at him.
Sighing, Kevin said "You know, for AJ's sake, I'm doing my best to avoid you. You're not making it easy."
"Why, Kevin?" Drew said innocently as she moved forward. "Why can't we just be friends?"
Kevin gazed down at her but was unable to determine the sincerity of the statement. Finally, he just sighed and gave in. "Ok, Drew. Just friends."
Drew gave him a dazzling smile and took his hand and led him to the dance floor. They started to dance and Kevin had to suck in a quick breath everytime her body rubbed up against his. Two songs later, Kevin finally managed to get her off the dance floor.
"Let me meet your friends." She said, looking across the room at Brian and Nick.
"How do you know I came with them?" Kevin asked her.
"I saw you walk in." she said as in dismissal and walked toward where Brian and Nick were.
She took two steps before Kevin caught her arm and stopped her. "You know that those two guys are AJ's friends too." he said and eyed her closely.
"So?" Drew said. "They've never met me. They don't know who I am." She then continued walking with Kevin behind her.
When she reached Nick and Brian, she stopped, waiting for Kevin to introduce her.
"Brian, Nick this is...uh.." He knew that they had heard Drew's name before, and they would know who she was.
Drew stepped forward and extended her hand for them to shake. "I'm Angel." she said with a sly look over at Kevin. Kevin smiled at her as they made their introductions and after they got to know each other Drew and Kevin went back to the dance floor.
Dancing with her was pure torture for Kevin. He wanted nothing more than to take her in his arms but she was off limits to him now. She was with AJ.
At one point, when Drew danced especially close, Kevin had enough. He grabbed her wrist and dragged her off of the dance floor, into an excluded corner of the club. When he reached the corner, he pulled her close to him and whispered in her ear "You know, the closer you get, the harder it is to remember that AJ even exists." A second later, his lips covered hers.
Drew responded and stood on her toes to get closer to him. Their hands explored each other as they kissed and Kevin lost himself more and more in her charms as every second went by.
Finally, went Kevin felt he couldn't take it anymore, he broke away. "Damn, I shouldn't have done that." he muttered. Their bodies were still pressed close together and Drew ran a hand down his chest.
"Why not?" she asked seductively and pressed even closer to him.
Kevin grabbed her hands and moved her away from him. "Drew." he said. "I can't do this. I literally don't have strength to do this anymore."
"I think you do, Kevin." Drew responded. "I think you have the strength to do whatever you want. It's just you're concious you're worried about. So stop worrying, Kevin."
It was her seductive voice that was his undoing. "Let's go." he said and took her hand and led her out of the club to his car.
