Pokémon Gold/Silver: New Attacks, Types and Such

NEW ATTACKS:

Quite a few actually. Here's all the ones I've found...

1. Some Ground type attack that Graveler has, a number comes up and the amount of damage done changes depending on the number (a nine would be more damaging than a five). I think Usocki had this too.

2. Curse - The ghosts have this one. Causes big damage to yourself, but the enemy continues to take damage throughout the entire battle! Probably a Devil type move.

3. A rock attack that might be a stronger version of Rock Throw.

4. Awakening Power - Unown's only attack, some glowing balls shoot at your enemy. Doesn't do much damage.

5. Steel Tail - a steel type attack, Steelix has this one, it flashes for a few seconds then deals out MAJOR damage to the enemy.

6. A new Recover move, Miltank had it, a milk bottle appears and your Pokémon's health is restored.

7. Mellow Mellow - Miltank learns it by TM. It makes hearts appear above the enemy's head, and if they're the same sex of your Pokémon they can't attack!

8. Lovely Heart -Something Togepi had, makes a Heart pop up and greatly decreases the enemy's Attack.

9. Sketch - the only attack Do-Buru has, it only has 1 PP and just about always misses. But if it hits, then Do-Buru learns the last move in the enemy's list and gets to keep it FOREVER!

10. Another attack by Steelix, a bunch of "needle" thingys fall down on the enemy but no damage is done. Probably lowers attack or something.

11. Some... WEIRD attack Jynx had that makes a Devil come up and the enemy falls asleep. This might just be Lovely Kiss with a new animation though.

12. Powdered Snow - New Ice attack, animation is similar to Blizzard but the attack is MUCH weaker. Urimu/Inomu had it.

13. Photosynthesis - A weak recover-like move that only has 5 PP. Chicolita has this one.

14. Lock On - 5 eyeballs appear on the enemy, but no damage is done. This attack increases your accuracy, but only for the enemy that you use it on (in other words, decreases that Pokémon's Evade)

15. Strange attack, only saw it once when using Metronome. Two hands appear and start clapping. Automatically makes you use the same attack again.

16. Spoon attack? A spoon appears and lowers the enemy's accuracy. Kadabra had it. This may be the mysterious Kinesis move from R/B/Y...

Also, Gust seems to be a Flying-Type move now, Rock Throw is MUCH more accurate, Razorleaf doesn't get Critical Hit all the time (darn! Why not? That was the main reason Razorleaf was my favorite move in Red/Blue!) and Lick is now super-effective vs. Psychic!

NEW POKéMON TYPES:

Two new Pokémon types have been added (thanks to Kinlap1031 for the info):

STEEL
Strong vs: Ice
Weak vs: Fire, Fighting, Ground

DARK
Strong vs: Psychic, Ghost
Weak vs: Fighting, Bug

Also some of the Pokémon have different types. Magnemite seems to be a Steel type now. Bellsprout is pure Grass instead of Grass/Poison (Weepinbell and Victreebel are still Poison though).

TRAINERS:

Most of the old guys from Red/Blue are still around, but of course there are a few new ones as well, such as...

Twins: two girls on the map together, they use Pikachu, Caterpie, and other "cute" Pokémon.
Fire Eater: Uses fire types.
Monk: Uses grass and ghost types.
Cops: For some reason cops attack you! They have Growlithes (just like on the show)
"Clefairy Woman": a woman with a bunch of Clefairy dolls around her. Uses "cute" Pokémon.
Pikachu freak!: Trust me, you'll know him when you see him :) Uses... PIKACHU! (also Raichu and Marill)
