For starters, the game comes bundled with the N64 Transfer Pak, which allows you to transfer
data from Game Boy games to your N64. That means you'll be able to upload your favorite
Pokémon from the Red, Blue and Yellow versions and battle them in 3D! If you thought
Jolteon's Thunder looked cool on the Game Boy, just wait til you see it in 64 bits. Don't
have a Game Boy pak? Don't worry - the game has 149 powered-up Pokémon built right
in (sorry, but if you want Mewtwo, you'll have to upload him - he's not built into
the N64 game). You'll be able to take your Pokémon, or the built-in ones, through
various tournaments to win a chance to battle the ultimate Pokémon, Mewtwo! And of
course, you'll be able to battle your friends in a great Multiplayer mode, where up
to four trainers can battle at once!
Pokémon Stadium isn't all about battling, however - there's lots of other great
features, as well. There's a cool new Pokédex with full 3D graphics, several
mini-games (including a Rattata race and an Ekans ring toss), a photo studio
(where you can snap photos of any of the 150 Pokémon), and even a place to
play your Game Boy game on the N64! (just like a Super Game Boy in other words)
Plus, by winning the various tournaments, you'll win some great prizes, including
a Surfing Pikachu! You can use this special Pikachu to access a hidden mini-game
in Pokémon Yellow. There are many other secrets within the game, as well, including the amazing Amnesia Psyduck. What is it? How do you get it? Who knows...
