Lily spent the next few days with Hannah, shopping for a gown to wear to the American Music Awards. When she'd told Hannah about the awards, she was very excited for her. She immediatly offered to keep Jeremy for however long she and Kevin would be in Los Angeles, where the awards were being held.
On the second day of shopping, Lily found the dress she immediatly fell in love with. When she tried it on, Hannah immediatly fell in love with it too. Lily initially winced at the steep price but remembered Kevin tell her not to worry about the price. That didn't help her to feel any less guilty but she bought the dress nevertheless.
Hannah and Lily finished the shopping, buying shoes and other items to match the dress, and then headed home.

Kevin stood on the balcony of the hotel room and gazed over the city of Los Angeles. He'd heard Lily come in from getting her hair and makeup done a few minutes before but remained on the balcony as he waited for her to dress. He sighed as he pushed away from the railing and looked at his reflection in the sliding glass door, leading into the hotel room. He supposed he looked alright. As usual, Lisa, their stylist, had picked the suits they were to wear. And as usual they all matched. All five of the guys wore the same style of suits, a regular black, well fitted suit with a dress shirt underneath the jacket with the collar sticking out and unbuttoned the top few buttons. Their shirts were all different colors, Kevin's being a dark, blood red.
He looked up from his assesment of himself to see Lily emerge from the bathroom. She spotted him on the balcony and headed towards him. As she came closer, Kevin sucked in his breath at how beautiful she looked. Amazingly, the dress she wore was the exact same color of the shirt he was wearing. Kevin's eyes roamed over her appreciativly as hers did the same. Her spaghetti strapped dress was floor length and simply elegant. It was the same blood red color of Kevin's shirt and it hung snugly to her curves. The neckline was cut dangerously low, straight across, but not low enough that she still didn't look classy. Over the red in the gown hung a long black lace garment that fit so snugly it and the dress looked one in the same.
Looking at how similarily their two out fits were, Kevin smiled slightly and thought he would make it a point to say something about it to Lisa.
"You look beautiful." he whispered softly as he raised his hand to gently caress her face. Her curly red hair was piled on top of her head with the soft curls settled on top and a few ringlets framing her face. Kevin picked up one of the ringlets at her neck and rubbed it softly between his fingers, loving the silky feel of it. Sighing, he let go of it, knowing it was time to go and the entire party was waiting for them down the hall. "Let's go." he said and entered the room and went out the front door.
Lily followed close by and in minutes they joined everyone else.
"Lil." Brian said and reached out for her hand which she took. "I want you to meet someone." he said as he led her to a tall blonde woman a few feet away. When they reached her Brian softly touched the woman's arm and she stopped her conversation with AJ and turned to see Brian behind her. The way she looked at Brian with so much love in her eyes, and the way Brian looked back with equal amounts of devotion in his, made Lily envious that she could never made Brian that happy.
"Leigh, this is Lily." Brian said and turned back to Lily, motioning to her. "Lily, this is Leighanne." Leighanne turned to smile at her and Lily was taken aback at the beauty of this woman who was smiling so honestly and prettily at her.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Lily. I've heard so much about you." she was saying as she reached out a hand to shake Lily's.
Lily smiled back, instantly liking her, and said "I've heard a lot about you too. You're almost all Brian talks about." In the past few weeks since her and Kevin's marriage, Brian has been a constant companion and support to her and Jeremy, visiting almost everyday.
Howie walked over to their group with a attractive brunette on his arm. He quickly made the introductions and Lily instantly liked Claudia too. Standing next to the two very pretty women, Lily felt almost inadequate in comparison. She stood their uncomfortably for a moment until she felt a hand slip into hers. Looking up, she saw Kevin standing beside her. He leaned closely to her and whispered in her ear "You are the most beautiful person here." and planted a soft, lingering kiss on her cheek. Lily looked at him and smiled, amazed at how he'd been able to read her so accuratly.
By that time AJ and Nick, who didn't bring dates, had joined the group. The entire group had seen the quiet exchange between Kevin and Lily but said nothing when they looked back at the group and Kevin said in his business voice "Are we all ready to go?" Everyone nodded and the group of eight was led down the halls and elevators by their team of security.
They stepped off the elevators on the main floor to what seemed like a hundred camera flashes. Everyone else in the group was used to the comotion except Lily. Kevin, who had not let go of her hand since he began to hold it back in the hall, squeezed it in a reassuring gesture. They reached the Limo and all climbed in.

Lily sighed as she took out the last pin that held her hair up and her hair came tumbling down. Rubbing her head, she crossed the bathroom and opened the door. Kevin was once again standing on the balcony, getting some fresh air.
The Backstreet Boys won two awards that night, one for 'Best Group' and the other for 'Best Single'. The crowning moment for Lily was when they'd won their first award. Kevin had been so nervous. Although he didn't appear to be, she knew he was because the hand in which he still held hers in squeezed tighter and tighter until they called their names. Kevin had been so happy he jumped up from his seat and hugged her tight and placed a quick kiss on her lips in an unconcious gesture. Lily smiled as she looked back on the night and all the fun she'd had, meeting all the famous people. She was pretty tired, they didn't get in until very late, and laid down on the bed. Within minutes she was asleep.
Kevin looked back into the room and saw Lily move around on the bed until she found a comfortable position in which she stayed in. He knew the instant she fell asleep because he saw her chest begin to rise in a slow, even breathing, indicating she was asleep.
He sighed and turned his back on the room and once again looked out over the city of Los Angeles. He swallowed hard as he wondered how he was going to get through the night sleeping in the same bed with Lily. He hadn't realized it before they'd left for the awards show but there was only on bed in the hotel room and he couldn't very well go to someone else's room. He'd just have to be mature about it and ignore the feelings he was having for her.
Pushing back from the railing, Kevin entered the room and closed the sliding glass door behind him. Crossing the room, he tried not to look at Lily asleep on the other side of the bed. He carefully laid down on the bed as not to disturb her and turned on his left side and attempted to go to sleep.
But sleep didn't come very easy for him. Every sound and movement that Lily made sent thrills of desire coursing through him. He raked his hand over his face in an attempt to control his body but it wasn't listening to him. Finally, he got up from the bed and crossed the room to return to the balcony.
It was the breeze from the open door that woke Lily. She turned her head to see if Kevin had gone to bed but found that he was still standing on the balcony, where he was when she went to sleep. Getting out of bed, she silently crossed the room and stepped out onto the balcony.
Kevin jumped as he felt a slight touch on the small of his back that sent chills up his spine. He didn't have to look to know that Lily was awake and had joined him on the balcony.
"Kevin, are you ok?" she asked softly.
If it wasn't for the genuine concern she heard in his voice, he might have been able to control himself. But his composure slipped away and he turned to her and hastily gathered her in his arms. Within seconds, his lips were claiming hers in a hot, passionate kiss. One arm remained around her waist to pull her even closer while the other hand moved to bury itself in her hair.
Lily moaned and placed her hands on his stomach, slowly and sensually sliding them up his chest to go around his neck. It was Kevin's turn to moan as he felt her touching him and he deepened the kiss. Her entire body was pressed so closely to his and Kevin attemted to pull her even closer. Her feet came off the ground and her entire weight was supported by one steel arm around her waist. Kevin moved his hand from her hair and placed it on her thigh rubbing it sensually where it was uncovered by the short, tight pajama shorts she was wearing. His attempt to move her even closer succeeded in moving her farther up his body. The hand that was on her leg, grasped the back of her knee and brought her leg around his waist. The other leg soon followed and her ankles clasped each other behind his back.
Both of Kevin's hands were then running up and down her legs as he moved to press her back up against the wall next to the door. His mouth finally left hers only to travel to her neck and pay the same attention there as he did to her mouth.
Lily's breathing was shallow and rapid as she breathed his name. His mouth finally returned to hers and Lily and Kevin simultaneously moaned.
As his hands moved along her legs and backside, he pushed away from the wall and entered the bedroom. Never losing the contact of their lips, laid them both down on the bed. Their clothes were off in seconds and at their first touch of flesh to flesh, they both gasped.
Kevin groaned her name as his lips moved from hers again and travelled from her neck to her breasts. Lily gasped as his lips fastened on her breast and moaned his name. Lily then stifled a protest as his lips left her breast and travelled lower to her navel. She began to squirm and moan as his tongue darted in and out of her belly button.
"Lily...I can't wait any longer." he moaned. He moved up her body and placed another hot kiss on her mouth as he slid inside of her in one fluid motion which had them both gasping. "Lily..." Kevin said as he began to slowly move within her. "It's been so long..." he said and buried his face in her neck, kissing it.
Lily raised her hips to meet him and Kevin moved faster as their desire grew and grew. Finally, their desire reached the peak and they called out each other's names as they came together in a single burst of passion.
