Oh God, what have I done?
That was AJ's only concsious thought as he watched her leave, watched the door slam after her.
What have I done? he repeated in his mind as he finally came out of daze and tore after her.
The rain was coming down like tiny waterfalls as AJ raced out of his house and through his yard, trying desperatly to catch the fleeing car before it left his property.
The thunder raged overhead, drowning him out as he yelled for her.
"Brandy" he screamed as he ran. "Brandy, wait! Don't go, I love you!" No one heard his cries but himself and AJ fell to his knees in desperation as he helplessly watched the red taillights move farther and farther away.
The rain poured down on him but AJ didn't take any notice. His own salty tears mingled with the rain water that poured onto his face.
"What have I done?" he whispered raggidly to himself as he held his head in his hands.
"Oh God, please don't let this be happening to me. Please don't let me lose her."
Brandy. His love. His life. His reason. Gone.
AJ's whole body shook with the force of his emotions. His heart bled openly at the loss of his beloved Brandy.
What have I done?
