Who is DaBoozer?

This photo is of me and my two sweethearts(nieces).
In Wyoming we don't just build snowmen, we build snowbears!

I am a student at the Gillette campus in Gillette Wyoming. We are a small school and it is a great place to get a two year degree. I graduated with a Computer Information Systems degree in May of 2000. I am now working on a bachelors degree in Computer Systems Integration with a Computer Graphics Concentration and a minor in Art, through the University of Great Falls through distance learning.

My plans for the future include finding employment in the computer field building Web Pages. I would eventually love to work for a company who designs interactive learning software for children. I am still considering a teaching position as well.

I will serve as Chapter President for Alpha Nu Psi in the coming year. We are a chapter of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. I enjoy working as a Senator in the student government and working as the layout editor and writer for the campus newspaper.

How I got started "making my own."

I began making beer for fun and found my wife actually liked it! After several batches of extract kits, I found myself wanting to go to the next level...ALL GRAIN. In my mind there is a tremendous taste difference in an extract kit and an all grain brew. I now brew in a converted keg and make 10 gallon batches. I have made many of the items I use for brewing. I have included some of these on the Beer Page.

Wine was the next step and I started with a kit (and would recommend the same to you). The kit is easy and it turns out great. My first attempt at wine was a Pinot Noir that I had to hide a few bottles of so that it could actually get a few years of age before it was all gone. They are still hidden and will be brought out for special occasions! I would like to suggest that all homemade beer, wine, and cordials are excellent gifts! Check out the Wine Page.

Cordials started with the usual, Kahlua then on to Baileys. Being a cheapskate as I am, I found I could make the stuff far much less than I could but it. You will more than likely find the same is true. To get started get a recipe from the Cordials Page.

I would like to note that in Wyoming is is legal to make beer, wine, and cordials. You should check with your state to make sure if you have any question regarding this. It is NOT legal to distill liquor in any state of the US. There have been people who assured me that I could distill for personal consumption and I have found this to be false.
