Continued pictures of the Radio Network studios.

Back to Green River

We head outside to see the satellite dishes now, and we'll travel down to the KUGR tower later in this page.

This dish sits at the far end of our property and is used to receive everything digital (well mostly everything) including KFRZ and KYCS's radio networks.

Next...

This dish receives everything Analog, including KUGR's Radio network and the Northern AG. Don't worry, just because it's missing a panel doesn't mean it works good...

AP!!!

This is where AP news comes from (remember the computers with the blue screens?) I am not sure of any coordinates about any of these dishes.

A main look

From left to right... Not used; Westwood One/News programming; Coast to Coast AM; The analog dish above; Channel Master dishes that arent used.

Now, we're going down to the KUGR tower to see some more pictures...

Across Bitter Creek and down by the railroad we'll be sure to see the KUGR 1490 Tower and it's building. It isnt easy to get across Bitter Creek however. There is a slight bridge built by yours truely, but you still need a tough 4x4. The RTLI mobile can easily make it in 4 Lo and with the engine in 2. What is the problem you ask? MUD!! and a whole lot of it. My bridge gives enough traction but you still have to take it slow and plus your car must be able to submerge at least a foot. Any way, this is KUGR's 70s style building that houses the TX (which I will find out what it is later) and all the eq that keeps the audio relatively clean. The coax is buried. This picture is looking north from the dirt road.

Here is the base of the tower as seen from the building. Notice the RTLI Mobile in the background. Looking south.

And last but not least, we have the tower registration #. This picture is looking east.
