As stated in the Housing section of this site, Naples is now under "Direct-Assignment," which means, if Government Housing is available at the time of your arrival you will be placed in a Housing Unit immediately. If however, there are no units available for you upon arrival, you will be placed in the TLA for up to 60 days. This page pertains to you ONLY if no Housing Unit is available. This also only pertains if you are NOT single or an unaccompanied E5 and above.
If you are bringing your family to Naples, or are an unaccompanied officer, and if we are NOT under "Direct Assignment" the first few weeks of your tour here in Naples, may occur in the Navy Lodge, better known as the TLA (Temporary Lodging Allowance) Hotel. The TLA is located on the Support Site in Gricignano which is about 25 miles from Agnano (old base) and AFSouth (NATO base), or 15 miles from Capodichino. The New TLA hotel has furnished rooms, which include kitchenette, dining area, living area, bedroom(s), and bath. Depending on the size of your family you will be given a room ranging from one to two bedrooms. Each room is equipped with: cooking & eating utensils, microwave, double burner stove, refrigerator, toaster, and color television. Cribs and highchairs are available for use during the length of your stay.
Let your sponsor know as soon as possible when you will be arriving in Naples so reservations can be made at the TLA.
The rooms available are as pictured above.
Queen Queen Kitchen (QQKN) ~ $80 per night. The QQKN has two queen beds, dining area, sitting area, separate kitchen and bathroom.
Queen Double Kitchen (QDKN) ~ $75 per night. The QDKN has one queen bed, dining area, separate kitchen and bathroom.

You are authorized up to 60 days TLA when transferring to Naples and six days when departing.
There is a restaurant (TGI Friday's), and a cafe/snack bar in the hotel. A mini-Commissary is located a couple blocks from the hotel.
Pets are not allowed in the TLA and there are no kennel facilities. If you need a kennel have your sponsor make reservations for you at one on the local economy prior to your arrival.
Navy guests are required to pay their 10-day TLA bill within five days of the
ending date of the claim while staying at the Navy Lodge in Gricignano. For example,
a 10-day bill for the period of October 1-10 would be due on Oct. 15. The Navy Lodge
will issue your first TLA bill within two days of checking in, and will continue to issue
additional TLA bills as needed. This will allow guests to complete the TLA claim
process in a timely manner.
The current TLA bill process requires that you take the Navy Lodge bill to the Housing Welcome Center and complete a TLA claim sheet. The next step is to take the claim sheet and bill to the command TLA coordinator for signature and finally to PSD for processing. Upon check-out, all guests will have to pay the bill in full.
The Navy Lodge works closely with PSD every week to track outstanding TLA claims. The Navy Lodge realizes that there are time when a guest may experience problems in processing their TLA claim and the issue is out of their control. In these circumstances, it is very important that the guest communicate these issues to the Navy Lodge so they are aware of the problem and can find a resolution. If TLA claims are processing in a timely manner, guests should not have more than one outstanding claim upon departure.
This policy has been in effect since moving to the new Navy Lodge facility at the Support Site in Gricignano. Guests are provided this information upon check-in to eliminate any confusion at checkout.
