Episode 41(E)/46(J): The Return of Sailor Moon(E) Moon fukkatsu! Nazono alien shutsugen!(J) Moon Revives! The Mysterious Alien Appears!(JT)
A meteorite crashes near Usagi's house. It is learned that this was the transportation pod of two aliens named Alan/Ail and Ann (her name is Ann in both versions). They disguise themselves as brother and sister and begin to attend Usagi's school under the alias' Alan and Ann Granger/Seijuurou and Natsumi Ginga, in a search for energy to feed what they call the Doom Tree. Ail falls in love with Usagi and Ann starts to like Mamoru. Ail and Ann use demons called Cardians to collect energy. The first cardian attacks Naru while she is on the phone with Usagi. Usagi rushes over to Naru's house where she makes an attempt to save her. Luna is forced to restore Usagi's memories. After Sailor Moon defeats the cardian, she says that while she is glad that she has her memories back, she truly wishes she could be a normal teenager.
Note: Alan and Ann Granger/Ail and Ann/ Seijuurou and Natsumi Ginga first appear, Sailor Moon reappears.
Episode 42(E)/47(J): So You Want to be in Pictures(E) Aito seigi yue! Sailor Senshi fukkatsu!(J) For Love and Justice! The Sailor Senshi Revive!(JT)
Ami, Rei, Makoto, Minako, and Naru are invited to audition for a part in a movie. Usagi sneaks in and discovers that they are under attack by a cardian. Sailor Moon is trapped by the youma and Luna is forced to give everyone their memories back. When the cardian is destroyed, the Senshi all agree that they are gald to be reunited.
Note: The Sailor Senshi reappear.
Episode 43(E)/48(J): A Knight to Remember(E) Shiroi baraha dareni? Tsukikage no knight toujou!(J) Who is the White Rose For? Tsukikage no Knight appears!(JT)
Usagi tries to remind Mamoru of his past but he has forgotten. Another cardian appears and the Sailor Senshi are aided by the handsome and mysterious Moonlight Knight/Tsukikage no Knight. Usagi thinks it is Mamoru in disguise.
Note: Moonlight Knight/Tuskikage no Knight makes his first appearance.
Episode 44(E)/49(J): VR Madness(E) Usagi no kiki! Tiara sadou sezu!(J) Usagi's Danger! The Tiara Doesn't Work!(JT)
Because the Doom Tree is dying, Ail and Ann try to get energy from people at the new Virtual Reality Arcade. Usagi, Mamoru, Ail, Ann, Usagi's dad, and Shingo all go to the Arcade but are attacked by a cardian. Usagi becomes Sailor Moon but her tiara won't work against the cardian. The Senshi and Tsukikage no Knight appear and destroy the cardian. Usagi is shocked to learn Mamoru is not Tsukikage no Knight.
Episode 45(E)/50(J): Cherry Blossom Time(E) Atarashiki henshin! Usagi power up!(J) The New Transformation! Usagi Power's Up!(JT)
Usagi, her friends, and teacher go to the park to enjoy the cherry blossom trees. However, a cardian attacks and captures Ami, Rei, Makoto, and Minako. Sailor Moon loses her transformation and disappears through a bright light. Queen Serenity's spirit visits Usagi and Luna (who fell through as well) and reminds Usagi that she must protect the Silver Crystal. Usagi is given a new broach, in which the Silver Crystal resides. Sailor Moon and Luna return to help their friends. Queen Serenity gives Sailor Moon the Moon Scepter/Cutie Moon Rod which she uses to destroy the cardian.

Episode 46(E)/51(J): Kindergarten Chaos(E) Nerawareta enji! Venus daikatsuyaku!(J) The Kindergarten Kids Get Attack! Venus' Great Preformance!(JT)
School Buses of children are being attacked by cardians. Usagi (who transforms into a substitute teacher) and Minako board the bus and are attacked by a cardian. Desperate to help the children, Sailor Venus powers up and uses a new attack. Sailor Moon uses her rod to destroy the cardian.

Episode 47(E)/52(J): Much Ado About Babysitting(E) Mamoru to Usagi no baby sitter soudou!(J) Mamoru and Usagi's Rebellion as Baby Sitters!(JT)
Mamoru volunteers to look after a baby whose mother is in the hospital. Usagi visits Mamoru and the baby daily but finds out that a cardian is attacking babies all over the city. Sailor Moon and the Senshi defeat the cardian after Mercury gains a new attack. Mamoru return baby Jordan to his mother after they have taught him to walk and talk.

Episode 48(E)/53(J): Raye's Day in the Spotlight(E) Bunkasai ha watashino tame!? Rei joou nesshou!(J) The Culutral Festival is Just For Me!? Queen Rei Sings All Out!
Rei organizes a festival at her school but a cardian attacks while she is singing one of the songs she wrote. The Senshi are all trapped but Rei, whose energy had been drained, finds the strength to fight and learns a new attack, freeing Sailor Moon who destroy's the cardian, allowing Rei to finish singing.

Episode 49(E)/54(J): Food Fetish(E) Tsukikage ha Seijuurou? Moeru Mako-chan!(J) Tsukikage is Seijuurou? Mako-chan Gets Fired Up!(JT)
Makoto thinks that Seijuurou looks like Tsukikage no Knight and attracts his attention with lunches. Ann becomes jealous and a cardian attacks Makoto and Ail. The Senshi come to the rescue and Sailor Moon destroys the cardian after Jupiter fights it using a new attack.

Episode 50(E)/55(J): Mirror, Mirror on the Wall(E) Mamoru no kiss ubae! Ann no shirayukihime sakusen!(J) Steal Mamoru's Kiss! Ann's Snow White Strategy!(JT)
Mamoru asks Usagi and her friends to help him do a play but Ann cheats to get the leading role, Snow White. Because Ann wants to kiss Mamoru so badly, Ail sends a cardian to wreck the play. However, the Sailor Senshi make a theatrical debute and destroy the cardian to the audience's delight. The show is cancelled, much to Ann's disapointment since she and Mamoru never did kiss.
Episode 51(E)/56(J): Detention Doldrums(E) Houkago ni goyoujin! Nerawareta Usagi!(J) Beware of After School! The Target Usagi!(JT)
After Ms. Sakurada's date cancels, she becomes angry and gives both Usagi and Natsumi detention. Natsumi (Ann) becomes weak from lack of energy and takes some of Usagi's. Outside, Ail tries to make a cardian take Mamoru's energy. Usagi is nearly too weak to fight the cardian but Tsukikage no Knight appears, giving her the strength to transform and destroy the monster.
Episode 52(E)/57(J): Secret Garden(E) Surechigau ai no kokoro! Ikari no Makaiju!(J) The Disagreeing Feeling of Love! Makaiju's Anger!(JT)
Seijuurou and Natsumi don't show up at school so Usagi stops by to help them. When Usagi peaks into Seijuurou's room, she is nearly pulled in by the Doom Tree (Makaiju). She returns to their apartment with Mamoru and Usagi and Mamoru are both trapped by the tree. It grows huge and takes over the enitre apartment. The Sailor Senshi arrive, trying to find a way inside to save Sailor Moon.
Episode 53(E)/58(J): Treed(E) Mezameru shinjitsu no ai! Makaiju no himitsu!(J) The True Love Awakens! The Makaju's Secret!(JT)
The Senshi get inside the apartment and go upstairs where they confront Ail and Ann but are beaten. Usagi transforms into Sailor Moon, shocking both Ail and Mamoru. The tree strikes Ann in rage, killing her. The tree almost kills Ail when Sailor Moon begs it to stop. The tree begins to talk and explains about its past and why it needs energy. It says that the energy that has been given to it is polluted because it was stolen from humans and it needs love energy to grow. Sailor Moon uses the Cutie Moon Rod to heal the tree. Tsukikage no Knight appears before her and reveals his face. He is Mamoru's memory, the part of him that had been lost after the fight with Beryl. He says that he must return to Mamoru and disappears inside him. Mamoru awakens as does Ann. She and Ail hold the tiny plant that Makaiju had become, vowing to find a new life, filled with love. The Sailor Senshi bid farewell to Ail and Ann as they leave Earth forever.
Ann is killed but revived. Mamoru gets his memory back.
