When Gene Roddenberry first created Star Trek he knew that he had a good series on his hands. Only, in 1964, when he filmed the first pilot The Cage, it was rejected as being "too cerebral". However, they liked the concept so Gene was asked to make a second pilot, which was practically unheard of.

The second pilot Where No Man Has Gone Before was more successful, and NBC picked up the show which premiered September 1966, with the episode The Man Trap

For three seasons, Star Trek made it's way into the lives and imaginations of its fans. And although it was canceled 30 years ago, it will live on forever.

Soon there will be links to great Star Trek Stories. Meanwhile, if you have any submissions, please e-mail me
