Baby Sitter Training Clinic
The Mount Markham High School will be hosting the American Red Cross "New" Baby Sitter
Training Clinic on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons in the Family & Consumer Science classroom
(A-102).
The clinic is designed for 11 to 15-year-olds and will include the following topics:
The Business of Babysitting; Basic Care; Stop! Think Safety; Safety and Safe Play;
and First Aid. Certified babysitters are also encouraged to participate in an American
Red Cross Training program for First Aid, CPR and AED.
Babysitter Training will be from 3:15 to 5:00 PM beginning Tuesday, April 27, 2004 and on the
following dates:

Parents may make arrangements to pick up their children or students may ride the district
late bus with a pass provided by the instructor.
Trainees should be 11 years of age or older and have submitted a completed registration form and a
$35.00 check payable to "Mount Markham Central School" on or before the first session.
There is a course limit of 10 students. Babysitter will receive their certification when they have
participated in all sessions and demonstrated skills in the required areas.
The fee includes the baby sitter 176-page handbook; black, nylon zippered-brief case; first aid pouch;
flashlight (batteries not included); pen; notepad; first aid wallet card; certification card, class
supplies; and refreshments.
