Installing new plugins to Configuration Manager

We now have our Configuration Manager installed, shortcuts placed, and are ready to install our new plugin files to Zeppo's Configuration Manager for use.

***Important***

All of the plugins on my site come contained in a self installing package. All you need to do is open up the zip file and double click on the executable file, you can run it straight from the zip, there's no need to unzip it to a directory or anything. It installs it to the same path as the self installer included in the configuration manager I wrote.

If you've downloaded the plugins from my site then all you need to do is follow the prompts in the self installer, skip this step and move on to the next step in the process.

Yes my plugins use MajorT's self installers I'd like to move to the next step

If you have downloaded the plugins elsewhere then you will need to follow the directions below to install them to the configuration manager.

1.)When you have the zip file containing the plugin, double click on it to bring up your zip utility, then click on extract. Now use the explorer like window to browse to the "Plugins" folder inside the Zeppo folder. Such as below.

The example below is for a single install, see Installing multiple copies for more information on if or when you need multiple copies.

If you used the Self Installers the Path is C:\Program Files\Zeppo\CC?\Plugins. Where "CC?" represents which version of the Config Mgr you downloaded.

ie; CCII, CCIII, CCIV, CCV

2.)Once you have the correct directory highlighted, click on extract. The plugin is now installed into the Configuration Manager and ready for use.

Just make sure you extract the plugin to the correct directory, if its a CCII plugin, dont put it in the CCIV\Plugins directory. Of course this is said assuming you have multiple copies of Configuration Manager. If you only have one copy, then there's no need to worry, just extract the plugin to the Plugins folder.
