Dear Dad

Four years ago you passed away,
It really seems like yesterday.

The sun is bright the sky is blue,
Not a cloud do I see when I think of you.

You are not forgotten and truly are missed,
For on this day you made a fist.

Between two worlds you were hanging on,
Then God called you home and you were gone.

Your hand reached up toward the sky,
And from this world you said goodbye.

Happy for you, with God you are,
When I’m missing you, you’re not very far.

Shining down on me with love and care,
You’re always present and always there.

You’re with me always, that I know,
Watching over me wherever I go.

I thank you for all you gave to me,
I am stronger now than I’ll ever be.

To you I thank for being my Dad,
For the many years together we had.

I miss you now but I’ll see your face,
When it is time for me to leave this place.
