My Angel Boy
I have a little angel boy,
who has filled my life with pain and joy.
He came into this world too early
and left it much too soon.
Now he's in heaven, in God's nursery room.
He had dark curly hair and a beautiful face.
No one could ever take my sweet Jonah's place.
I had him for twelve short days,
enough time to see God's merciful ways.
Now, he's with Jesus in His rocking chair.
The angels are dressing him and brushing his hair.
I know in God's time I'll be able to see him again.
We'll meet in heaven and it will be perfect then.

Heaven Needs Babies Too
A pain has filled deep within our hearts,
A life ended before it had a chance to start.
God blessed you with twelve beautiful days,
Before He finally took him away.
He gave you time to show him love,
then He took him to the land above.
I suppose what they say is true,
Heaven needs babies, too.
God has His reasons why,
He'll stand by you until you no longer cry.
You lost him before you thought you would,
and it hurts more than you thought it could.
I promise you'll find a way to carry on
throughout the days that he is gone.
I know it's hard to understand,
just know he's safe in God's hands.
Even though he belonged to you,
heaven needs babies, too.
Within time the pain will fade away,
but the memories are in your heart where
they'll stay.
Just cherish all the memories that you shared.
You proved just how much you truly cared.
Deep inside he'll always know
how hard it was for you to let go.
When sadness takes over you,
Just remember - Heaven needs babies, too!
