Objectives
1. LIAISING THE FINAL
YEAR STUDENTS TO THE JOB MARKET.
2. TO ENHANCE ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE IN
ZANZIBAR UNIVERSITY.
3. TO CREATE ENABLING ENVIRONMENT
THROUGH RESEARCH AND RESOURCE COORDINATION.
4. TO PARTICIPATE IN THE COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAMS.
5. TO ENHANCE A RAPPORT BETWEEN
LECTURERS, STUDENTS AND ADMINISTRATION.
6. TO ENHANCE CREATIVITY SKILLS IN
GLOBAL THINKING THROUGH TEAM WORK, SEMINARS, PLACEMENTS,
VISITS, TALKS AND EXCHANGE PROGRAMS.
7. ACTIVELY LIAISE AND WORK TOGETHER
WITHIN AND OUTSIDE THE UNIVERSITY AND ALSO WITH OTHER
ASSOCIATIONS.
8. TO ENABLE FINAL YEAR PURSUING
ACCOUNTING & FINANCE OPTION TO GIVE TUTORIALS TO
THEIR FELLOW FIRST & SECOND YEAR STUDENTS TO ENHANCE
THEIR SKILLS.
Others are:
- To
bring together students interested in Accounting so
that they can feel, think and act together in
matters affecting their academic welfare,
development of accounting Knowledge and the
profession.
- To
establish and maintain contacts with firms in public
accounting practice and with the professional bodies
in Tanzania.
- To
hold discussions, debates and seminars on concepts,
Principles, codes, ideas, changes and developments
in accounting.
- To
publish student journal in which articles relevant
to accounting and development of the profession can
be published.
- To
promote interaction with other students,
professional firms, industrial and commercial
enterprises in order to have a broad spectrum of
what accounting involves and to reconcile this with
the academic pursuits of the members.
- To
do other things and engage in other activities as
they are or shall be conducive or incidental to the
attainment of the objectives of the association.
