Help
Hey. This is the first year we're looking for outside help for judging
and award creating. In past years, we've found people we personally
knew to help, figuring that it would be easier and we knew we could
trust them. The problem with that is, as they were our friends, they
seemed to believe that deadlines didn't apply to them. As a result,
we always ended up way behind. A good example of this is the simple
fact the new contest is open for entries, and not all of the awards
are done for previous contests. If you sign up to judge or create awards,
we will expect you meet deadlines. This year we want to actually finish
when we say we will.
Judging
You'll be given an entire to anime to judge, not just a category.
This is so that you can choose winners for the individual categories
as well as the overall winners(Best One Shot, Best Multi-part). We
stop excepting entries January 1st. You'll be expected to have you're
results in by Febuary 1st. You can start reading stories before we
stop excepting entries, but you obviously can't make your decisions
until you've read every story that was entered to the last day. You'll
probably want to keep a notebook with what you thought of stories
and so forth. When you finish, you'll send me your top three stories
for each category and the overall categories, preferably with some
comments as to why you picked it, but that's not necessary. The final
decision will still be made by me, but it will be mostly based on
the input of the judges. There should be multiple judges for each
anime. You can still enter your own stories in the contest, but not
in the anime you judge. The sooner you get your results in, the better.
Then we can send the results to the awards creaters sooner so they
can get started. If you would like to sign up for judging, or want
more information, send an e-mail to central_anime1@hotmail.com.
Awards Creaters
You may notice that I keep refering to you as Awards Creaters rather
than artists, or something along that line. That's because I wanted
to make it clear that it doesn't matter how you make the award. Kosmo
tends to use the computer and merge pictures and such. Others prefer
to draw the award. You may choose a different way. Any is fine as
long as the award looks good. The judges have to have the results
in by Febuary 1st. I'll send them to you as soon as I get them, which
may be before then, but also may not be till that day, and I'll expect
you to have the awards to Kosmo by Febuary 20th. Though you'll probably
have more time, don't sign up for more awards than you can do in 20
days. You can sign up to do as many awards as you want, as long as
you can get them done and done well. You can enter your own stories
in the contest in any category. As you don't do any judging, it doesn't
matter if the stories are yours. If you're interested or would like
more information send an e-mail including a piece of your work, how
many awards you're willing to do, and what categories you want to
kosmostar01@angelfire.com.
You may want to put the categories you want in order of what you want
most and include more that the number of awards you are willing to
do in case of conflicts.
Thank you very much. We greatly appreciate the help.
