The * next* Ottawa PugNic (the *last* one with this name) is on MAY 27th, 2007 At my resquest, New Management will re-name the event and create a new website. We thank Anne and Genevieve for taking over the leash here. :)Thanks for the memories, puggies! When: the last Sunday in May, 2007 from 10 a.m. 'til noon Where: the completely fenced-in dog yard in Lansdowne Park. Need a Map? The dog yard is located beside the baseball diamond in the north-east corner of Lansdowne Park, between O'Connor and the Driveway. Note: This is a public park and there could likely be other dogs there as well for short periods of time. But this event is for Pugs. We respectfully request that you leave your non-pug dogs at home, no matter their breed, size or temperament. What: a chance for Pugs to run and play with each other and for their People to share common concerns - and laughs! Mimimum Age: Pugs must be over 3 months old to attend safely. If they're too young, don't worry: they can come next time. Bring: your Pug Necessities and...your pug(s)! Legal Notice: Each owner is responsible for the health, safety and conduct of their own dog(s) while attending any Ottawa PugNic event or Playdate. The organizers assume no responsibility whatsoever for the actions of other people's dogs or any conditions within Lansdowne Park. Parking:The Driveway may be closed to motor traffic on Sunday mornings. If it is open, Gate # 4 is your best entrance. If not, enter Lansdowne Park through Main Gate on Bank Street and head for the far, left (North) corner of the grounds. Parking now costs $5.00 on the grounds at Lansdowne. Nearby street parking is available on Holmwood, O'Connor and Adelaide. The Message Board records the attendance in May/04 - see 90 Pugs entry. A part of Shirley's legacy of joy and talent is visible throughout the site in the marvellous pictures she took in the first few years. Questions?
