Teen Court Recommended Mock Trials

Every Teen Court across the country (and internationally) is encouraged to conduct identical mock teen court trials such as trying "Santa Clause for Breaking and Entering" and the trials are recommended to occur during the same week of the month as all other teen courts. The trials of specific cases every month at approximately the same time by teen courts across the country can have a very beneficial public relation effect to encourage awareness of the positive uses of teen courts across the country and even internationally.

Samples of press releases for the various members of the news media will also be provided on an individual basis for participating teen courts to use with their local news media.. In addition, general releases will be provided to various members of the news media in areas that do not have existing teen court programs.

Sample trials would be the trying of Santa Clause in December as mentioned above. The Trial of Thomas Terky alias Butter Ball in November. George Washington for cutting down a tree in February. C. U. Pidsbo for shooting arrows in the city limit and a number of others.

Suggested "Scripts" for each month of the year for the mock teen court trials are available for a shipping and handling cost of $5 each for affiliated members. The cost to non-affiliated members is $15 each. For a list of scripts recommended throughout the year, send a request on your formal letter head along with a self address stamped enveloped. Please indicate the country your teen court program is in.
