What is a Scout Shabbat? A memorable ceremony in which Scouts participate in the religious service.  Qualifying Scouts are acknowledged for earning Religious emblems during the service.  A special commemorative patch will be given to all Scouts attending.

What is a Qualifying Scout?: A Scout who qualified for a Religious emblem between Jan.2002 and Jan.2003.  The Religious emblem is the ONLY Cub Scout emblem which may be worn on a Boy Scout uniform other then the Arrow of Light.  Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, older (Venturers, Explorers, and Sea) Scouts, and adults have their own emblems:

Maccabee for Tigers & Wolves
Aleph for Bears & Webelos
Ner Tamid for Boy Scouts
Etz Chaim for older Scouts
Shofar or Chai for Adults
animated Star of David Lehavah for Brownies
Bat Or for Juniors
Menorah for Cadettes
Or Emunah for Seniors
Ora for Adults

Should I Register? YES!!! We need to know who has received which Religious emblem in advance if you wish to be properly recognized.  Bring your award!  You must complete the Registration form below to be fully recognized.  However, last-minute walk-ins are welcome.  For more information contact our Jewish Committee Advisor.

What if I'm not part of the Connecticut Yankee Council? Scouts and Scouters from other councils are welcome to attend with their family and friends.
