Albert M. Campbell Tournament (September 22-23, 2001)

The Hurricanes came into the Albert Campbell hoping to go out with a bang. They got off to a good start coming in first in the first days round robin. They won their first game 3-1 over YMCA, their second 2-0 over Erin Mills, and they won their last game 5-2. The two goals in the last game were scored on penalty shots, but the Hurricanes held in, and won the game. With that amazing first day, they went into the playoffs with high hopes. They first came against the other Hillcrest team that was entered in the tournament. The Hillcrest Hurricanes Under 13 team. The Under 13 team put up a good fight, but in the end eventually ended up losing at a score of 3-0. So the Hurricanes moved on to the finals, to meet the Brampton team for the third time this year. The series between the two teams was 1-1. The Hurricanes had taken the first game in the semi-finals of the West Rouge Tournament (which they went on to win) over Brampton at a score of 2-1. The second meeting of the teams was won by Brampton in the finals of the Milliken Mills Tournament 1-0. So it was all coming down to this last game. But the Hurricanes did not seem like they came out to play as they went down early 2-0, and never made it back up, losing in the final of the tournament 2-0. PICTURE BELOW: How we casually look.
